Abstract: A machine tool provided with a universal head free from restrictions on its swivel operation due to the presence of a power cable to a motor directly driving a spindle and consequently expanded in range of movement, provided with a ram serving as a support, a swivel member held by the ram to be able to swivel about a predetermined swivel axis, a tool mounting member held at the swivel member, rotatably holding at its front end a spindle to which a tool is mounted, and provided with a motor for driving the spindle, a generator provided at the swivel member and generating power used by the motor, and a power source provided at the ram and supplying power to the generator.
Abstract: A device for removing grout from between a joint. The device comprises at least one handle member with at least one guide and at least one motor portion. The motor portion has at least one cutting member. The guide and the cutting member are aligned. The guide is adapted to guide the cutting member along the joint.
Abstract: A spindle protective structure in a spindle-through coolant feeder capable of preventing coolant form invading a spindle and a spindle motor for an excessive overflow of coolant. Coolant is supplied into a through hole formed axially in the spindle or a shaft connected to the spindle through a stationary member and a rotary member of a rotary joint supported by a housing. A seal member having elasticity is provided on a circumferential surface of the spindle or the shaft. Coolant which leaks through the seal member is splashed by a fringer provided in the housing. When a large amount of coolant is overflowed in the housing, a pressure of the coolant in a first chamber of the housing increases to press a lip of the seal member towards the circumferential surface of the spindle or the shaft to prevent leakage of coolant into a second chamber of the housing.
Abstract: A milling machine with a rotating drivable machine tool spindle perpendicular to a work piece stage slanting downward and away from the front side of the machine bed displaceable along the Z-axis that may be displaced via a first carriage along the Y-axis, and via a second carriage along the X-axis on guides mounted to the machine bed. A chip collection chamber is provided behind the work stage surface when in the operating position. The guides for the second carriage are provided on opposing struts of a portal frame parallel to the work tensioning surface, that is connected on its front side by means of lateral front support areas and on its rear side directly with the machine bed.
Abstract: In an automatic machine for wrapping items for the tobacco industry, a manipulator is designed to transfer at least one interchangeable processing tool toward and away from an operating position, the processing tool being mounted on a frame of the automatic machine.
