  • Patent number: 4350374
Abstract: A header for solar-panels of the type comprising a slab provided with a plurality of parallel through-conduits has a prismatic body. The body is provided with a through-bore that has its axis disposed along the greater dimension of the prismatic body. An aperture made in one side of the prismatic body parallel to the axis of the through-bore is adapted for receiving one end of the slab. A device is provided for attaching the slab to tubular sleeves which project from, in cantilever fashion, the through-bore of the prismatic body.

  • Patent number: 4349219
Abstract: An electric welding muff for joining thermoplastic line elements comprising a welding sleeve and an electrical resistance heating wire. The sleeve is formed of thermoplastic material. The heating wire is wound in a plurality of turns and embedded in the sleeve adjacent one of its lateral surfaces and has peripherally spaced deformation points diverging from the general course of the turns. During manufacture and welding, the heating wire remains in its predetermined position since expansion of the wire is absorbed at the deformation points.

  • Patent number: 4345785
Abstract: A pipe coupling is disclosed for connecting two pipelines of different materials together in a high temperature, corrosive environment which, at the same time, prevents deterioration of the pipelines due to galvanic action. The coupling achieves its purpose by using a relatively rigid insulating material to prevent contact between the pipelines. It also achieves high pullout resistance while maintaining minimum outer dimensions to facilitate its use in all types of wells, such as oil, gas, sulfur, etc.

  • Patent number: 4345783
Abstract: To enable easy and quick coupling of a conduit to the end of a pipe, the device comprises a casing (1,5) having a replaceable, separate casing portion (5) with a resilient sleeve (4a,4b,4c), the radial dimensions of which are adapted to a particular pipe dimension. The sleeve is axially compressible between a stationary abutment (9) and a movable piston (11) having a channel (14) permitting the supply of pressurized fluid through the piston and into the end of the pipe (10a, 10b, 10c).
