  • Patent number: 11488468
Abstract: Disclosed is a sensor for detecting the proximity of smart devices previously connected to the sensor using the IEEE 802.11 protocols. Importantly, the sensor does not operate using a Bluetooth® connection, which would require the smart devices previously connected to the sensor using the IEEE 802.11 protocols to also have Bluetooth® protocols enabled. Enabling such Bluetooth® protocols uses more battery than having the IEEE 802.11 protocol adapter enabled. The sensor references a list of previously connected smart devices and attempts to connect with any in range, if none can be connected to, the sensor emits an audible alarm signal. Further, no application is required for the sensor to operate.

  • Patent number: 11490237
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for Bluetooth connection are disclosed. A first Bluetooth connection can be established between a first node of multiple data receiving nodes and a data source, the multiple data receiving nodes can share a data packet transmitted by the data source via the first Bluetooth connection, and a second node can be selected according to a preset rule from among the multiple data receiving nodes to feed back a response signal to the data source. In a method and an apparatus, the multiple data receiving nodes can be regarded as a whole, which share a data packet transmitted from the data source and jointly maintain the first Bluetooth connection, and only one of the multiple data receiving nodes is selected to feed back a response signal. Conforming to Bluetooth communication protocols, a method and an apparatus can meet the demanding requirements on hardware resources of a Bluetooth connection among a data source and multiple data receiving nodes.

  • Patent number: 11456818
Abstract: The invention belongs to the field of low-power consumption Bluetooth technology in wireless communication, in particular to a method for improving the sensitivity of the receiver in a low-power consumption Bluetooth system. The method of the invention is to introduce a deinterleaver between the symbol pattern mapper and GFSK modulator of the transmitting terminal under the low-power consumption Bluetooth coding mode, which is used to perform additional processing on the bitstream data and then perform modulation; then, due to the introduction of interleaving, Turbo iterative processing of demodulation and decoding can be performed at the receiving terminal; the receiving terminal comprises a Turbo iterative demodulator and decoder, which is used to model the low-power consumption Bluetooth GFSK modulator and convolutional coder into finite state machines, and then combine the deinterleaver to use the BCJR algorithm for iterative demodulation and decoding.

  • Patent number: 11436427
Abstract: A generative attribute optimization (“GAO”) system facilitates understanding of effects of changes of attribute values of an object on a characteristic of the object and automatically identifying attribute values to achieve a desired result for the characteristic. The GAO system trains a generator (encoder and decoder) using an attribute generative adversarial network. The GAO model includes the trained generator and a separately trained predictor model. The GAO model inputs an input image and modified attribute values and employs the encoder and the decoder to generate a modified image that is the input image modified based on the modified attribute values. The GAO model then employs the predictor model to that inputs the modified image and generate a prediction of a characteristic of the modified image. The GAO system may employ an optimizer to modify the attribute values until an objective based on the desired result is achieved.

  • Patent number: 11423648
Abstract: Time-stamped images are captured for unknown items within a store. Portions of the images are cropped to restrict the cropped images to attributes associated with the unknown items. A set of time ordered cropped images are proved to a trained machine-learning item recognition algorithm, which produces an output of confidence values that map to specific items of the store. When the confidence value meets or exceeds a predefined threshold, the specific item associated with that confidence value is used to identify the unknown item. The known item is assigned to an appropriate shopping cart of a shopper based on tracking from the images of the shopper while in the store.
