Abstract: A furniture slipcover including a slipcover body and at least one band, such as a textile band, is provided. The slipcover body covers at least some surfaces of a piece of furniture, and a first end of the band is fixedly attached to the slipcover body, and the band extends in a horizontal direction when holding the bunched portion of the slipcover body. A fastening member, such as a clip, is disposed at a second end of each band. Also, each band may be provided as an elastic material that exerts a contracting force when the fastening member is secured to the bunched portion of the slipcover body. The band may be located on a portion of the slipcover that covers or is near to lateral edges of armrests and the backrest.

Abstract: A seat comprises a cushion member, a seat heater, and a skin material. The seat heater has a planar base member disposed on the cushion member, a heater wire fixed to the base member, and a temperature control that controls the temperature of the heater wire. The skin material covers both the cushion member and the seat heater. The cushion member includes a seat cushion surface portion for a sitting person and a recess formed in a surface located on the side opposite to the seat cushion surface portion. The base member includes a seat cushion surface-side portion disposed on the seat cushion surface portion. The heater wire includes a seat cushion surface-side heater wire disposed in the seat cushion surface-side portion and an insertion portion heater wire extended from the seat cushion side heater wire. At least a part of the temperature control is connected to the insertion portion heater wire and is disposed within the recess of the cushion member.

Abstract: A child safety seat assembly includes a base and a child seat. The base comprises a shell body, and a support platform provided at an upper side of the shell body on which the child seat can be installed. The shell body includes a first portion having a bottom adapted to provide stable resting support, and a second portion extending upward from the first portion, wherein the shell body includes a storage cavity accessible from an outer side of the second portion. The storage cavity can be sized to receive free end portions of a restrain strap used for holding the base in place.

Abstract: A back support is pivotally oriented to locate a pivot point relative to posterior superior iliac spines of a seated user, such that when an upper portion of the back support contacts the upper torso of the user and moves to a desired angular orientation to balance the upper torso over the pelvic area, the back support transfers support to the posterior superior iliac spines to maintain the pelvic skeletal structure in alignment. A lower portion of the back support angularly contacts, supports and confines gluteal and buttocks tissue of the user independently of the degree of pivotal orientation of the upper portion.

Abstract: A pole mount is adapted for locating an elongated pole adjacent a supporting surface. The pole mount includes an enlarged base with an elongated flexible neck. The flexible neck has a proximal end adjacent the base, and a distal end extending outwardly substantially perpendicular to the base. The neck may define a range of universal flexibility between its proximal and distal ends. The distal end of the neck defines an open top adapted for receiving a free end of the elongated pole. A cam lever operates to releasably lock the free end of the elongated pole inside the flexible neck of the pole mount.

Abstract: Cabinets adapted for non-level garage floors and out-of-plumb garage walls with leveling controls operated from inside each cabinet. The cabinets have in common that they are attachable to a garage wall and each has at least one adjustment panel forming a part of the back of the cabinet. Each adjustment panel has a hand screw for extending behind the cabinet to engage the wall to provide back-to-front leveling and to prevent installation of fasteners, such as screws, from pulling the cabinet closer to the wall during installation. Each adjustment panel also has horizontal slots in a staggered arrangement in two horizontal rows for receiving fasteners. Floor-standing cabinets have feet that are adjustable from inside the cabinet. Wall-hanging cabinets have a top bracket that provides side-to-side leveling form inside. Floor-standing cabinets are modular and stackable, using an included adapter and door-handle coupler to enable stacked cabinet doors to open as one.

Abstract: A chair system according to embodiments of the present invention includes a base comprising a seat for a user and one or more support legs, a back, and a flexible back support element rigidly coupled to the back and to the base, the flexible back support element comprising a flex zone, the flex zone comprising one or more notches, wherein the back is reclinable from an upright position to a reclined position, wherein the one or more notches are configured to narrow as the back reclines from the upright position to the reclined position, and wherein the one or more notches are open in the upright position and closed in the reclined position.

Abstract: A sun-tracing sunshade apparatus includes a support, a first top shade member rotatably mounted on the support, a lateral shade member pivotally coupled to the first top shade member, a drive unit installed in the support and adapted for rotating the first top shade member relative to the support, a sun tracker electrically coupled with the drive unit and adapted for sensing the direction of the sun and providing a corresponding signal to the drive unit, and a push member mounted on the support and movable to touch the lateral shade member and to further bias the lateral shade member relative to the first top shade member. Thus, the first top shade member can be turned subject to the direction of sunlight to move the lateral shade member to the optimal shading position, providing excellent sun-shading effect. Further, when the lateral shade member is moved to the front side of the user, it can be lifted by the push member, avoiding hindering the user's sight.

Abstract: An umbrella hub is provided that is operative to engage an umbrella cord for maintaining an umbrella in an open position. The hub can comprise a cord retention mechanism. For example, the hub can comprise upper and lower hub portions that form a hub body and a cord retention mechanism comprising an aperture extending through the hub body, a recess disposed within the upper or lower hub portion, and a pair of engagement members disposed in the recess. The cord lock mechanism can be configured to allow the cord to pass freely in a first direction while preventing movement of the cord therethrough in a second direction that is opposite the first direction or to pass freely in both the first and second directions.

Abstract: A child safety seat assembly includes a child seat and a base. In one embodiment, the base can include a first portion having a bottom adapted to provide stable resting support, and a second portion extending upward from the first portion. The child seat can be installed on the base, wherein the child seat has a seat portion and a seatback, and is movable relative to adjust a distance between the seat portion and a region of the second portion in front of the seat portion. In other embodiments, a base suitable for use with a child seat is also described. The base can comprise a shell body, and an adjustable platform movably assembled on an upper guide surface of the shell body, wherein the adjustable platform is adapted to attach with the child seat.

Abstract: A seat liner is provided that includes a cushion within the seat liner, the cushion includes a body of memory foam and a soft, flexible, and washable material located upon said body of memory foam. In a preferred embodiment, the seat liner may be folded into a folded position, or it may be rolled into a rolled position in order to ensure maximum portability. Further, said seat liner may also includes one or more means for attaching various accessories, such as toys, bottles, blankets, and pacifiers.

Abstract: A latch lock out assembly for use with an armrest of a vehicle is disclosed. The latch lock out assembly comprises a flexible body secured to the armrest on an end of the body. The latch lock out assembly also comprises a generally cylindrically shaped blocking member arranged on an end of the body. The blocking member will be used to block the disengagement of a latch from a locking surface when the armrest is in a generally vertical or seat back position but flex or bend to a secondary or disengaged position when the armrest is in a generally horizontal position within the vehicle.

Abstract: Shelter structures having an upper shelter portion supported (internally or externally) at an apex and one or more peripheral support elements supported by an external suspension web provided externally of a base region of the upper shelter portion are provided. The upper shelter portion provides a roof-like structure, while a lower enclosure portion may be connected, directly or indirectly, to the upper shelter portion and may provide wall-like structures that may include doors, vents, windows, and the like, or that may comprise an open network of lines, straps, wires, or bands. In tent embodiments, the upper shelter portion and the lower enclosure portion may be provided as fabric structures that, when erected, form tensioned fabric structures. Support systems, kits for assembling structures, reinforcement features and methods for assembling structures are also disclosed.

Abstract: A removable thermal cooling/heating seat/backrest cover has a generally rectangular rear panel formed of flexible water-resistant material, and a front panel including at least one large generally rectangular thermally insulated pocket having an outer side wall formed of a flexible sheet of water and mildew resistant material with an inner side wall formed of shiny reflective metalized foil laminated to closed cell polyethylene foam, the foil facing the interior of the pocket, and the foam facing the rear panel. The cover is removably mounted on the backrest and/or seat of a seating structure by mounting straps. The thermally insulated pocket holds a freezable or microwaveable gel pack for providing cooling or heating comfort to a user. The foil forms a reflective thermal barrier that radiates cold or hot temperatures toward the outer side wall and the foam facilitates maintaining the gel pack at a constant temperature.

Abstract: The invention relates to a synchronizing mechanism for a correlated seat-backrest movement of an office chair, said mechanism including a base support (1) that can be placed on a chair column, a seat support (3) and a backrest support (4). In order to provide a synchronizing mechanism, by means of which a high level of seating comfort can be achieved in an inexpensive manner, a mechanism is proposed where the backrest support (4) is connected to the base support (3) so as to be pivotable about a transverse axis (8) and has an entrainment means (9) that is in operative connection with the seat support (3) in such a manner that when the backrest carries out a pivoting movement (6) backward, the seat support (3) also performs a movement (13) backward.

Abstract: Improvements in protection with a sunbrella-sunscreen made of a porous, nonporous, non-permeable fabrics such as mesh silver nylon and silver polyester used to protect one from sun rays and precipitating rain. The sunbrella-sunscreen canopy is removable and changeable. The covering can be changed from fabric, material, properties and color(s). The sunscreen can be worn with any head wear, cap, hat, or the user can use a special head wear which is specifically to be worn with the Sunscreen. The sunbrella can further be secured within an umbrella type frame that can be carried like an umbrella. When not used the mechanical apparatus sunbrella is collapsible and foldable to a smaller size to be stored in a small pouch. When not used the mesh sunscreen, the nonporous, non-permeable fabric is collapsible and foldable to a smaller size to be stored in a small pouch.

Abstract: A child car seat subframe that is easily disassembled into component sections for washing within a residential-sized dishwasher. The car seat subframe can be disassembled by hand, and each individual component is capable of fitting in a residential-sized dishwasher individually and collectively. The component sections are attached by a combination of registration tabs and slots, and held tightly together by fasteners, or attached by a combination of tongue and groove joints. Hanging devices, such as hooks, may be formed on one side of each component section to facilitate hanging on racks in a dishwasher. The car seat subframe back panel and side panels are disassembled into a plurality of segments for easily fitting in a dishwasher.

Abstract: A seat belt includes: a lap strap stretchable around the waist of an operator, in other words, laterally stretchable across a seat surface; an AL retractor that is configured to wind the lap strap; a shoulder strap stretchable from the shoulder to the waist of the operator, in other words, stretchable from an upper portion on one side of the backrest to a lower portion on the other side thereof; and an EL retractor that is configured to wind the shoulder strap.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present invention would provide web-strapping for upholstery of furniture, methods of providing web-strapping for upholstery of furniture, web-strapped furniture, and methods of web-strapping furniture. One exemplary embodiment of the present invention would provide an exemplary strap assembly of material for furniture upholstery comprising at least one fastener fastened into each end of the strap such that a tail end of each fastener is secured from extraction from the strap. In one exemplary strap assembly embodiment, fasteners would be fastened in each corner of each end of a strap so that a tail end of each fastener would be secured from extraction from the strap. Other exemplary embodiments would provide an exemplary article of furniture and methods of making an exemplary article of furniture, comprising said strap assemblies installed to span a space between opposing chair rails.

Abstract: A seat reclining apparatus for a vehicle, includes the pair of lower arms each connected to the lower side frame, the upper arm positioned between the pair of lower arms and fixedly attached to the upper side frame, the pair of recliners joined to the upper arm and to the pair of lower arms, the electric motor, the lower side frame provided as a pair for sandwiching the pair of lower arms and connected to the pair of lower arms in a manner that the pair of lower arms is pivotable relative to the lower side frame, and a lock member for engaging with the pair of lower side frames and with the pair of lower arms for restricting a relative pivoting movement between the pair of lower side frames and the pair of lower arms in a state where a relative pivot angle therebetween is at a predetermined angle.
