Abstract: A dispensing paintbrush includes a handle, a brush head connected to the handle, and bristles attached to the brush head to apply a fluid to a surface. A coupler is attached to the handle and is configured to connect to a fluid source. A nozzle is attached to the coupler and is configured to dispense the fluid to the bristles. The nozzle extends within the bristles and terminates at a position from the brush head that is less than one half the length of the bristles.

Abstract: A thermochromic writing instrument including a writing body, storing a thermochromic ink therein, stored in a barrel; an operation body provided in the barrel to be operated to longitudinally move the writing body; a nib of the writing body configured to be capable of appearing from a front end of the writing instrument, wherein the writing instrument 1 further includes a friction unit, for rubbing handwriting in the thermochromic ink and capable of thermally changing the color of the handwriting by frictional heat generated at that time, and at least one clip body as the operation body, the friction unit 10 is provided at a rear end of the barrel, and the clip body is provided in an area other than the rear end of the barrel.

Abstract: A novel blending stump pencil device that provides a user with one implement for both drawing and blending. The device comprises a wood-bodied pencil with a blending stump attached to a rear of the pencil via a securing apparatus. The device comprises a clear finish and a removable plastic sleeve that protects the blending stump from damage and debris. Further, the device can be included in a kit with multiple pencil types.

Abstract: A compact writing instrument includes a barrel and a cap. A majority of a length of the barrel and a writing element carried thereby may be received by the cap when the barrel and the cap are placed in a stored position, providing a compact stored arrangement. The cap may be secured to the barrel in a writing arrangement that extends a length of the writing instrument significantly; for example, to a conventional writing instrument length. Engagement features of the cap and barrel may include steep threads that enable the cap to be assembled with and disassembled from the barrel with one rotation (360°) or less. A clip on the cap may include a closed end that defines a receptacle, with the closed end and receptacle extending beyond a corresponding end of the cap. In addition, the closed end and receptacle may extend partially over the corresponding end of the cap.

Abstract: Convertible writing instrument assemblies are provided, including an outer barrel having a tapered nosecone with an aperture for a writing instrument tip and a grip portion, and an aperture for receiving an eraser or a push button therethrough, wherein the writing instrument assembly provides selective access to a volume defined by the outer barrel, and wherein the outer barrel and the volume are collectively configured to operably and interchangeably receive a mechanical pencil insert having the eraser and a retractable pen insert having the push button. Mechanical pencils and pens utilizing the convertible writing instrument assemblies are also provided, along with kits for providing such mechanical pencils and pens.

Abstract: An improved drywall finishing system is comprised of a container, a powdered compound and an applicator, and several methods of applying the compound to a drywall surface via the applicator. The first method of the system involves applying the compound to a drywall surface via the applicator to detect rough, un-sanded, or improperly sanded areas that can then be re-sanded as needed. Further, the second method of the system involves applying the compound to a drywall surface wherein the powder adheres to any high spots, low spots, or imperfections in the surface, wherein said spots can be re-sanded as needed.
