Abstract: A method of controlling a mobile terminal includes displaying a first screen having a plurality of user selectable items and determining a speed of a first drag input received at the display. The method further includes scrolling the plurality of user selectable items of the first screen, while the first drag input is being received, for a first distance when the determined speed is below a preset speed and scrolling the plurality of user selectable items of the first screen, while the first drag input is being received, for a second distance further than the first distance when the determined speed is greater than or equal to the preset speed.

Abstract: An image-based recommendation system provides a first set of selectable images to a user and receives user selections from the first set of images. If a user selects a single image from the first set of images, the product page associated with the selected image is transmitted to the user. If the user makes multiple selections from the first set of images, then the images associated with the user selections are analyzed and a second set of similar images is generated for transmission to the user. The process of receiving and analyzing user-selected images, generating image sets and transmission of generated images sets continues until the user selects a single image. The precision of identification of similar images can be improved by providing the user selections as training data to the image-based recommendation system.

Abstract: A method for facilitating the validation of an action by a user utilizing a touch screen device having a processor executing software commands includes providing an initial screen via a GUI displaying certain data fields and functional icons of a particular application. On the touch screen an initial active area is designated in association with certain data fields and functional icons. An end user interacts with the touch screen device generating an input signal. The input signal is received from the touch screen active area by the processor requesting an action. Upon receipt of the input signal, a validation active area on the touch screen is visually displayed. The validation active area is monitored for a secondary input signal generated by an end user interacting with the validation active area. The initial active area is monitored for determining an input signal in association with the initial active area is present.
