Abstract: A fixing piece is provided for use in fixing a data-storage drive unit and similar units in position on a support structure. The fixing piece is of one-piece plastics form with predetermined fold lines about which the fixing piece can be folded to at least partially encompass the unit. The fixing piece is formed with projections for engaging in holes in the walls of the unit to restrain movement of the latter, and snap-engagable elements for snap engaging in apertures in the support structure to attach the fixing piece, and thereby a unit about which it is folded, to the support structure. A stackable form of this fixing piece is also provided.

Abstract: A valance spacing assembly. The valance spacing assembly comprises a spacer bar 22 having opposed ends, a first and second clip 24 and 25, the first clip 24 removably attached at one end of the spacer bar 22, and the second clip 25 removably attached at an opposite end of the spacer bar 22, the first and second clips 24 and 25 each removably attached to two parallel spaced valance rods 12 and 14, thereby rigidly interconnecting the valance rods 12 and 14.

Abstract: A rod guide member includes a strap portion of flexible material having an integral attachment at one end thereof to attach the strap portion to a support and an integral rod attachment at the other end thereof to attach the strap portion to a rod spaced from the support. The strap portion is return bent upon itself between its end portions to accommodate both linear and shifting movement of the rod relative to the support as well as provide a cushion between the rod and the support obviating rattle.
