Abstract: A method and system for determining a suspected data source among one or more data sources reporting geo coordinate data in a location based services network is disclosed. In some embodiments, the method includes, receiving geo coordinates of a user device reported by the one or more data sources over a period of time, calculating a notional speed between geo coordinates reported at two consecutive times, flagging simultaneously, one or more data sources that reported the geo coordinates at the two consecutive times resulting in a notional speed that exceeds a predefined notional speed, and analysing a data on at least one of, the number of instances of geo coordinates reported by a data source, the number of instances a data source was flagged, the data sources that were also flagged simultaneously with each flagging, for determining the suspect source of data.
Abstract: Aspects directed towards a frame-based equipment (FBE) design for a multi-operator New Radio shared spectrum (NR-SS) are disclosed. In one example, at least one contention slot is monitored within a fixed frame period of an unlicensed spectrum, and a determination is performed of whether a channel reservation signal associated with a higher priority node has been detected within the at least one contention slot. For this example, the at least one contention slot is associated with a resource of a subsequent fixed frame period of the unlicensed spectrum. A determination is then made of whether to transmit communication via the resource. Here, the communication is transmitted via the resource, if the channel reservation signal is not detected, and the communication is not transmitted via the resource, if the channel reservation signal is detected.

Abstract: In a communication device mounted in a vehicle, a communication unit performs wireless communication using any one of a plurality of profiles for using a wireless communication network. A first acquisition unit acquires travel information of the vehicle. A second acquisition unit acquires position information of the vehicle. A controller controls whether or not to execute a profile determination process based on the acquired travel information and the acquired position information.
Abstract: This application relates to electronic devices configured to connect to a wireless local area network and communicate using a trigger-based access mechanism. An access point is configured to define a contention-free period associated with a communications medium utilized by the wireless local area network. During the contention-free period, the access point allocates transmission opportunities to each of a number of electronic devices by transmitting trigger frames to the electronic devices via the communications medium. Each trigger frame can be directed to a particular electronic device and indicates to that electronic device that the current transmission opportunity has been allocated to that electronic device to transmit data (e.g., frames) to the access point via the communications medium. The access point implements an algorithm for allocating two or more transmission opportunities within a contention-free period to two or more corresponding electronic devices.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide a relay transmission method, where a first node is a parent node of a second node. In those embodiments, a request message from the first node can be received by the second node, where the request message is configured to request the second node to become a parent node of the first node. Still in those embodiments, indication information can be sent, by the second node, to the first node, where the indication information is used to indicate that a downlink beam sent from the second node to the first node after the second node becomes the parent node is the same as or similar to an uplink beam sent from the second node to the first node when the first node is the parent node. The indication information may be carried in a response message for the request message.

Abstract: In a wireless communication system, when a remote user equipment (UE) accesses a network via a relay UE, a base station provides an identifier of a mobility management entity (MME; relay UE MME) of the relay UE to an MME (remote UE MME) of the remote UE. When paging for the remote UE is required while the remote UE is connected to a network via the relay UE, the remote UE MME transmits a request for paging for the remote UE to the relay UE MME, and the relay UE MME transmits a paging notification to the relay UE or starts a paging process for the relay UE through the base station.
Abstract: Various arrangements for performing setup of a wireless network without pairing are provided. A request mapped to a first characteristic may be transmitted using a first wireless protocol. In response to the request mapped to the first characteristic, a listing of one or more wireless networks within range mapped to a second characteristic may be transmitted by a peripheral device. Using the first wireless communication protocol, a third characteristic mapped to the selected wireless network and the password may be transmitted to the peripheral device. A connection to the selected wireless network using the password and the second wireless communication protocol may then be performed by the peripheral device.

Abstract: The invention relates to methods and to a device for the modular orientation of an AVB stream. The introduction of a new attribute (L_BRIDGE) into the reservation protocol that has been further developed for TSN allows to better use the existing mechanisms in the Ethernet Standard. To this end, each receiver and each transmitter has to announce himself in the network (already existing for the transmitters).

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide techniques to selectively distribute Precision Time Protocol (PTP) data in a network. The network can include multiple different network devices (e.g., switches) connected to form a network architecture (e.g., a spine/leaf architecture). Rather than distributing the PTP data (e.g., PTP timestamps) through all the network devices in order to synchronize local clocks to a global, master clock, the embodiments herein describe an out-of-band distribution network which selectively distributes the PTP data to select network devices in the network.

Abstract: A user device provides, to a network, information associated with the user device, and receives, from the network, a multi-bit network indication that indicates access technologies, services, and network capabilities provided by the network. The user device determines whether the user device is in a home network or a visited network based on the multi-bit network indication. The user device passes bits of the multi-bit network indication to an upper layer when the user device is in the home network or passes a portion of the bits of the multi-bit network indication to the upper layer when the user device is in the visited network. The user device receives a selection of one of the access technologies, the services, or the network capabilities, and receives, from the network, the one of the access technologies, the services, or the network capabilities for the user device based on the selection.

Abstract: Methods and techniques are described for efficiently supporting periodic and triggered location services for a user equipment (UE) in a Fifth Generation wireless network. A serving core network (CN) node, such as an AMF, receives a request for periodic or triggered location for the UE from another CN entity, such as a GMLC, and transfers the request to a location server, such as an LMF, which initiates and establishes the periodic and triggered location session with the UE. The serving CN node then releases all resources for the location request. The UE monitors for periodic or trigger events and reports each event to a location server which forwards an event report, optionally containing a UE location, to an external client via a CN entity, such as GMLC. The event reporting can be efficient because a serving CN node is not materially involved.
Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-connectivity establishment method, communication system, user equipment (UE) and access point (AP), the method comprising: a UE setting up a first RRC connection with a CN node via a first AP; the UE, when the first AP transmits to the UE a notification that RAN anchoring function is supported by the first AP and the UE determines to use a second AP to set up a second RRC connection, transmitting a second connection request message to the second AP, wherein, the second connection request message including identifying information of the first AP; and the second AP, according to the second connection request message, transmitting an anchoring request message to the first AP so as to obtain UE context information, and setting up the second RRC connection with the UE according to the UE context information.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a random access method. The method includes: obtaining, by a first network device, resource information corresponding to a target service unit, where the resource information is used to indicate a resource to be used, by a user equipment (UE) that has established a connection to the first network device, to send a physical random access channel (PRACH) via the target service unit, and the target service unit is a cell to be accessed by the UE or at least one beam to be accessed by the UE; and sending, by the first network device, a notification message to the UE, where the notification message includes the resource information.
Abstract: A communication system is presented in which a base station operates a first cell using a first component carrier and a second cell using a second component carrier. A control channel and reference signals of a first type are provided using the first component carrier. The control channel and the reference signals of the first type are not provided, and reference signals of a second type are provided, using the second component carrier. The base station determines from results of measurements performed on reference signals of the second type whether or not the mobile communication device is within an area covered by said second cell and, if it is, transmits cell configuration information to the mobile communication device.
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, devices, and machine-readable mediums that detect evil twin and other anomalous access points in an IT infrastructure by detecting access points that are not in their expected locations based upon an analysis of access point reports from one or more computing devices.
