  • Patent number: 11645874
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for implementing video action recognition is provided. The method includes receiving a video stream comprising user movement actions. Skeleton points associated with a video representation of a user executing the user movement actions are extracted and categorized with respect to multiple digital levels. Initial visual windows points are generated within video frames and an average movement distance for the group of skeleton points are determined with respect to the video frames. In response, sizes for the visual windows are adjusted and feature vectors are extracted from the group of skeleton points. Point coordinates of the skeleton points are extracted and linked with the feature vectors. A convolutional neural network associated with linking the feature vectors with the point coordinates is generated and the video stream is enabled with respect to video action recognition associated with accurate presentation of the video stream.

  • Patent number: 11631247
Abstract: State of the art techniques in the domain of video analysis have limitations in terms of capability to capture spatio-temporal representation. This limitation in turn affects interpretation of video data. The disclosure herein generally relates to video analysis, and, more particularly, to a method and system for video analysis to capture spatio-temporal representation for video reconstruction and analysis. The method presents different architecture variations using three main deep network components: 2D convolution units, 3D convolution units and long short-term memory (LSTM) units for video reconstruction and analysis. These variations are trained for learning the spatio-temporal representation of the videos in order to generate a pre-trained video analysis module. By understanding the advantages and disadvantages of different architectural configurations, a novel architecture is designed for video reconstruction.

  • Patent number: 11620817
Abstract: A method for operating an artificial neural network (ANN) on a hardware platform. The ANN is designed to ascertain confidences with which input data are to be assigned to N discrete classes. The hardware platform includes a dedicated unit which forms from a list of M>N confidences expanded confidences by encoding into each confidence an identification number of its place in the list, and numerically sorts the expanded confidences. The unit is fed confidences 1, . . . , M?N, which have the minimal representable value, and confidences M?N+1, . . . , M, which correspond to the N discrete classes, and/or it is ensured that those confidences fed to the unit that correspond to one of the N discrete classes have a value higher than the minimal representable value. A ranking of the classes ordered according to confidences, to which the input data are to be assigned, is ascertained from the first N of the numerically sorted expanded confidences.
