    Abstract: A flexible weather-shield accessory that can be attached to any headgear, or in the absence of other headgear, that can be worn by itself on a user's head. The accessory has a body portion capable of shielding the wearer's neck and ears. This body portion includes a visor-covering area that can lie across the visor or forward extension of the brim of a hat, extending coverage forward of the wearer's face. Thus the accessory is also capable of shielding the sides of the face, including nose and chin. The accessory has an inner opening with a size-adjustment mechanism that allows for the insertion of, and releasable attachment onto, the crown of a hat, cap, or head. It can adjust to fit onto any size head or hat. Fasteners are located at the front lower edge of the accessory to enable the accessory to be loosely closed together below the chin and neck of the wearer, and alternatively, to allow the accessory to be fastened to the upper button and buttonhole of the wearer's shirt or blouse.

A visor is connected to the cap-like assembly. In one embodiment, the cap-like assembly includes a head-size adjustment strap located in a back portion of the cap-like assembly. The head-size adjustment strap includes a portion of hook-containing material that attaches to the cap-like assembly for securing a selected head-size adjustment. In another embodiment, the cap-like assembly serves as an inner cap-like assembly, and an inner visor is connected to the inner cap-like assembly. An inner connector assembly is connected to a top side of the inner visor. An outer cap-like assembly. An outer visor is connected to the outer cap-like assembly. An outer connector assembly is connected to a bottom side of the outer visor.

    Abstract: An ear protector is formed from a sheet of thin flexible material such as a thermoplastic, for example polyethylene or a coated paper material. The protector is provided with a narrow flap of the sheet material along rear edge, and its top, both of which are curved to approximate the curvature of a human ear. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is provided preferably along the rear edge of the protector to hold the protector in place on the skin behind and adjacent to the ear during use. Preferably the front edge also is provided with a strip of adhesive. The protector has the advantage of being inexpensive and disposable.

    Abstract: A cap strap cushion is attachable to one or more adjustable straps of a baseball-style cap. The cushion includes a tubular member having a first open end and a second open end, each of the open ends defining an inseparable edge. An interior channel extends the length of the tubular member, from the first open end to the second open end. The first and second open ends each are configured so that the adjustable straps can be inserted into and through the interior channel. The tubular member is sized such that when the adjustable straps are inserted into and through the channel, the tubular member fits thereon. The tubular member may be stitched from the edge of the first open end to the edge of the second open end. A soft, pliable material, such as fleece, may be employed in the subject invention. The cap strap cushion may accommodate a plurality of engaged adjustable straps having differing lengths. A method of using the cap strap cushion of the present invention is also disclosed.

The upper rib also has left and right side cam members positioned on the outer sides of the clip elements which have cam surfaces that abut against stationary surfaces of the anchor members to provide detent positions for maintaining the sunshades stably in either the operative position or an upward, storage position. The anchor members can be clip members or provided with self-adhesive surfaces for attachment to the brim of the cap. The assembly can be pre-assembled with fabricated caps or provided in a retrofit kit for convenient installation by wearers on their own caps.

The covering also includes a peripheral edge portion that covers the exterior surface of the peripheral edge and the layer of gel cushioning material. The flexible covering surrounding the peripheral edge has a tacky exterior surface to grip the area surrounding the wrestlers ear.

The inner layer is preferably made of a dense interfacing material that is at least 50 percent polyester. The layers are secured together by stitching.
