Abstract: A portable, electronic and encrypted medical record device and management system that receives and stores a registrant's or patient's medical history in a secured database, records the medical history on a portable computer readable medical storage device, includes a multi-level encrypted security system to control access to the medical information on the storage device or in the system for authorizing modification or access to the medical information, allows authorized medical personnel to update recently acquired medical data, dictates the data that authorized medical entities or personnel have access to and includes a recognizable logo to alert medical personnel of the medical storage device.

Abstract: A system is provided for providing patient treatment values in real-time, including: a database module comprising a database having a plurality of predetermined categories of patient selection criteria, patient condition categories, treatment types and precalculated treatment doses based on the predetermined categories and patient selection criteria; an input module in communication with the database module for inputting one or more of patient selection criteria, patient condition categories and treatment type at time of patient treatment; and a display module in communication with the database module and the input module for displaying a precalculated treatment dose based on one or more inputted patient selection criteria, patient condition categories and treatment type at time of patient treatment.

Abstract: Automobile insurance rates are established by performing calculations for defining a single tier placement dependent upon a combination of mutually exclusive factors based on applicant data. The factors include a household driving record gradient, a stability gradient and an operator driving record gradient. In the case of a new policy, the factors also include a named insured driving experience gradient and a prior insurance gradient. Alternately, in the case of a renewal policy, the factors also include a household claims record gradient, a member relationship gradient and an operator claims record gradient. No single factor is the sole determinant for placement in a tier.

Abstract: When a vehicle is located within the area of coverage of a radio station, a navigation system outputs audio guidance on the basis of traffic information received from the radio station, provided a predetermined audio output condition related to a congested area is satisfied or stores the traffic information in a storage section if the predetermined audio output condition is not satisfied. Then, when the vehicle is located outside of the area of coverage of the radio station, the navigation system outputs the stored traffic information as audio guidance.

Abstract: An innovative tracking software system provides independent proof of primary-care physician (PCP) efforts to improve urgent access to care and coordination of care. PCPs are provided with tools and financial incentives to better manage urgent care requests and thereby provide better service while reducing avoidable hospital utilization (ER and re-admissions) and costs. In particular, independent and accurate measurements of provider performance enable the payment of financial incentives to PCPs.

Abstract: Location tracking systems and techniques are provided. In one embodiment, a system includes a memory device and a processor configured to execute a plurality of routines stored in the memory device. The plurality of routines includes receiving of a plurality of patient locations as provided by a respective plurality of location-providing systems from one or more data sources, determination of a resolved patient location by selecting one of the plurality of patient locations based at least in part on a hierarchy of patient locations, and outputting of the resolved patient location. In some embodiments, the location-providing systems may include a real-time location system and a static location system, which may provide a current location and an assigned location, respectively.

Abstract: A navigation apparatus acquires, through an antenna and a receiver, external information such as traffic information or the like, and a control unit in the navigation apparatus acquires validity time information from the external information. If the validity time information includes a standard time that represents a current time, the standard time together with a relative time or period information in the validity time information is used for determining whether a valid period has passed. If the validity time information does not include the standard time representing the current time, the lapse of the valid period is determined based on the standard time generated by a standard time generator and one of the relative time and the period information in the validity time information. Then, the external information is invalidated by deleting the information from an information storage if it is determined that the valid period has passed.

Abstract: The subject invention is a Patient Care Monitoring System which employs a novel method and system for monitoring the care provided to a patient at a health care facility. In one embodiment, the subject invention includes a central processor in communication with a health care facility's computer systems, receiving data therefrom. This data is arranged and correlated to enable the subject invention to filter through the data and detect if a particular treatment, diagnostic test, or course of action has been or is in danger of being overlooked.

Abstract: The invention relates to a data arrangement in connection with dental care, which arrangement includes at least one dental-care device (U, T) and a data system (S). In the arrangement, information related to a predetermined dental treatment event performed by the dental care device (U, T) is transmitted and stored in the data system (S), such as data of device parameters, instruments (X) or filling material (Y) or time used in the procedure. In the arrangement, the treatment event may be identified, for example, via the control system of the dental-care device (U, T) or by reading an identifier by means of an electronic reader device (L1, L2). Abstract: A system and method are provided for providing a moveable summary column for a patient based medical flow sheet. The summary column can provide various summations of the patient's data records for any time period depending on where the moveable summation column is placed. The summation of the various patient data depends on the summation parameters defined in the medical flow sheet. The summary column can be moved by the user to any spot in the patient data portion of the medical flow sheet to sum up different intervals of data. The moveable summation column will present summary data for each of the patient parameters as designated by the medical flow sheet developers depending on the placement of the summation column.

Abstract: A system for processing healthcare claims and remittances comprises a database and an electronic portal. The database contains previously received healthcare claims from a plurality of healthcare providers and previously received remittances from a plurality of payers. The electronic portal, connected to the database, receives a healthcare claim from a provider or a remittance from a payer, and splits the received claim or remittance into a plurality of data elements. The portal assigns a unique identifier and a shared identifier to each of the data elements of the received claim or remittance. The portal performs a duplicate claim edit and/or a third party liability edit on the received claim, or performs a duplicate remittance edit an/or a third party payment edit on the received remittance. Based on the result of the edits, the portal submits the received claim to a payer or submits the received remittance to a provider.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for generating toxicology reports. Using the methods and apparatus disclosed herein, physicians can more easily understand toxicological lab test results. Physicians receive a toxicology report that explains, in plain language, the toxicological lab test results. A rules engine provides rules for interpreting the toxicological lab test results. Detailed explanations are associated with the rules, and the explanations appear on the toxicology report. The toxicology report greatly reduces the need for the physician to call the toxicology scientist.

Abstract: A computerized system and method for generating CMS-compliant health services delivery (HSD) tables. A database stores health care service provider data. A remote computer user interacts with a server that provides access to the health care service provider data. A user can view health care service provider data that meets selected search parameters. The data is displayed in an interactive worksheet. The user may further cause amendments to be made to the data stored in the database. The user may issue a request to generate an HSD table in “final file format” which conforms to CMS requirements. The server checks for errors in the file and notifies the user of errors that are identified. The server optionally checks for adequacy of the network associated with a plurality of health care service providers. The user may approve the final files for filing with CMS.
