  • Patent number: 11727345
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for scoring candidate routes. One of the methods includes obtaining a predictive model trained on training examples from trip log data, wherein each training example has feature values from a particular trip and a value of a dependent variable that represents an outcome of a portion of the particular trip, wherein the features of each particular trip include values obtained from one or more external data feed sources that specify a value of a sensor measurement at a particular point in time during the trip. Sensor values from one or more external data feed sources of a sensor network are received. Feature values are generated using the sensor values received from the one or more external data feed sources. A predicted score is computed for each route using the feature values for the candidate route.

  • Patent number: 11620586
Abstract: A method and system may reduce latency and improve connectivity by performing offline authorization of products and services related to airline reservations. A server device may receive a request for a product or service related to an airline reservation from a user including payment information for the user and may transmit the payment information to a payment service provider for authorization. In response to identifying an outage at the payment service provider, the server device generates a temporary approval code indicative of a successful payment to prevent latency during the outage at the payment service provider and stores transaction data including a representation of the payment information for the user in an offline database. The server device proceeds as if payment was successful and provides an order confirmation message to the user's client device indicating that the product or service has been reserved for the user.

  • Patent number: 11620584
Abstract: A server communicates with a terminal device used by a user, and an external server. The server includes a memory, a server, and a processor. The memory stores map information and timetable information for public transportation. The server communication device acquires, from the external server, a rental place and a riding start time of a vehicle reserved by the user. The processor sets the rental place as a destination and the riding start time as an arrival time based on the map information and the timetable information, and executes a route search. The processor controls the server communication device such that the server communication device outputs a route, a mode of transport, and an estimated travel time, which are acquired from the route search, and that the second application displays, as the users' schedule, the route, the mode of transport, and the estimated travel time.

  • Patent number: 11615370
Abstract: With respect to a package delivery system configured to optimize efficiencies associated with package delivery, a server computing device may monitor locations and conditions associated with a fleet of vehicles. A vehicle including a first delivery person may be dispatched with packages for delivery. The server computing device may provide updated delivery routes based on traffic and/or other conditions in the environment. At the completion of a work shift associated with the first delivery person, the vehicle may be parked at a location proximate the delivery route. The server computing device may dispatch a second delivery person to the location. Based on an indication that the second delivery person is proximate the vehicle, the server computing device may cause a user interface to surface on a computing device of the second delivery person, enabling the second delivery person to unlock the vehicle and continue delivering the packages.

  • Patent number: 11393271
Abstract: A technique for controlling access to one or more attractions is achieved using a number of access keys, each being issued to one or more users. An electronic queue management part manages a virtual queue in respect of each attraction and receives electronic requests for attraction access, each request relating to an access key and being for the users associated with it to access a particular attraction. Receipt of each request causes the respective users to be added to a corresponding virtual queue. A time at which each group of users reaches the front of the virtual queue and can access the attraction is determined. The users access the attractions by presenting an access key to an access control part, in communication with the electronic queue management part. Only a user presenting an access key at the correct time for accessing the attraction is allowed access to the attraction.
