  • Patent number: 11960468
Abstract: A database management system receives a command defining a view of the database. The view definition is accepted without determining whether references to schema elements within the view definition are resolvable to existing elements of the database schema. A query of the view is received. In response to the query of the view, the database management system resolves references to schema elements in the view definition by determining whether the references correspond to data available for processing the query.

  • Patent number: 11928593
Abstract: Among a great deal of other disclosure and scope, systems and methods are enclosed that enable for highly efficient labeling of data. For example, in some of many cases, a novel methodology for ranking vectors most useful to label next is disclosed. In such an example, a neural network is trained to predict this ranking methodology upon being given a set of heuristics from which to assess the given problem space. A user can continue the cycle of identifying a set of candidate vectors to label, compiling relevant heuristics from said vectors, ranking vectors via the trained neural network, selecting a subset of the ranked vectors, inquiring an oracle regarding the true labels of the vectors, and then appending the subset of newly labelled vectors to the labelled set of vectors until satisfaction.

  • Patent number: 11907259
Abstract: A central database system allows users to access and use data stored in a relational database. In order to ensure that the stored data is not detrimentally impacted and that the security of the stored data is maintained, the central database system generates a sanitized copy of the database. The central database system stores and accesses annotation files associated with data tables of the database and a schema identifying the structure of the database. Based on the schema, for each data table, the central database system validates the annotation file. A copy of the data table is created and sanitized corresponding to the annotation file. The sanitized copies of the data tables are used to generate a sanitized copy of the database. The sanitized copy of the database may then be accessed and used by users of the central database system without impacting the relational database.

  • Patent number: 11886457
Abstract: A transform-by-pattern (TBP) system is configured to proactively suggest relevant TBP programs based on inputted source dataset and target dataset without requiring users typing in examples. The TBP system has access to multiple TBP programs, each of which includes a combination of a source pattern, a target pattern, and a transformation program that is configured to transform data that fits into the target pattern into data that fits into the source pattern. When a source dataset and a target dataset are received from a user, the TBP system identifies a subset of the source dataset and a subset of the target dataset as related data. The TBP system then identifies one or more applicable TBP programs amongst the multiple TBP programs, and suggest or apply at least one of the one or more applicable TBP programs.

  • Patent number: 11829383
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for storing a first data object comprising a first set of immutable components, the first data object being associated with a corresponding second data object stored by a remote replication system. A difference is determined between the first set of immutable components of the first data object and a second set of immutable components of the corresponding second data object. A subset of immutable components is identified from the first set of immutable components based on the difference. The subset of immutable components from the first set of immutable components is provided to the remote replication system over a communication network.

  • Patent number: 11803521
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for improved design and implementation of data access metrics for automated physical database design. An example method includes identifying a database workload for which index advisor access counters are to be tracked. Each SQL statement in the database workload is executed. For each SQL statement, attribute sets are determined for which a selection predicate filters a result for an SQL statement. An output cardinality of each selection predicate is determined. A logarithmic counter for an attribute set corresponding to the selection predicate is determined based on the output cardinality of the selection predicate. The determined logarithmic counter is incremented. Respective values for logarithmic counters of the determined attributes are provided to an index advisor. The index advisor determines attribute sets for which to propose an index based on the logarithmic counters of the respective attribute sets.

  • Patent number: 11656956
Abstract: An information management system allows a user to search through a secondary copy of data, such as a backup, archive, or snapshot without first retrieving the secondary copy of data. Instead, the system constructs lightweight data that can be displayed to a user as a representation of the search results. Lightweight data may include metadata or other information that identifies data included in the secondary copy of data. The lightweight data may be perceived as being the secondary copy of data and allow a user to browse through search results. Once the user identifies a search result that is of interest, information in the lightweight data can be used to retrieve the secondary copy of data. Because lightweight data may have a smaller file size than the file size of the secondary copy of data, the latency of performing a search may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 11657034
Abstract: An update system may be used to update referenced data objects that are used by multiple applications. In some cases incorrect data may be entered and later corrected. Data consistency techniques are described herein to help avoid use of incorrect data before the data is corrected. A communication from the update system may include updated master data objects and an indication that there are further updates queued. A flag may be set for each of the updated master data objects as they are stored in a database. Then when a request to access those objects is received, the request may be denied when the flag set, thereby preventing access to potentially incorrect or outdated data.

  • Patent number: 11636090
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and non-transitory machine readable medium for a graph-based analysis for an Information Technology (IT) operations includes generating a temporal graph by extracting one or more of operation objects, relations and attributes from operation data of workloads distributed across a plurality of levels of the IT operation within a predetermined time window. Anomalies are detected from the extracted operation data and annotating corresponding objects in the graph. A directional impact between corresponding objects on the temporal graph is determined, and the temporal graph is refined based on the determined directional impact. Accessible paths in the temporal graph indicating error propagation are searched, and potential causes for the detected anomalies in the temporal graph are identified. A list of the potential causes of the anomalies is generated, and a root cause ranked for each of the corresponding objects in the temporal graph.

  • Patent number: 11630840
Abstract: Systems and methods herein describe embodiments for handling a data drift. An example system accesses the data pipeline, which is comprised of a plurality of stages. For each stage of the plurality of stages in the data pipeline, the system identifies stage schema fields for processing data in the data pipeline and generates a set of stage schema fields comprising the identified stage schema fields in the stage. In response to detecting an origin stage, the system generates a set of pipeline schema fields, whereby the set of pipeline schema fields comprise a union of the generated sets of stage schema fields. The set of pipeline schema fields are then stored.
