Abstract: Providing security-related services for enterprise service requests includes receiving a service request from an endpoint, determining the transaction parameter from the received service request, determining a subroutine for execution based on the transaction parameter, communicating with a data server to execute the subroutine, receiving subroutine results from the data server based on the executed subroutine, applying context-specific rules to the request based on instructive data specified in the subroutine results, determining a response based on the subroutine results and the applied context-specific rules, and communicating the response to the endpoint.

Abstract: An endpoint machine has a unique endpoint identifier based on a configurable set of hardware attributes for an endpoint type. The endpoint agent running on that machine has an associated software identifier registered with the endpoint management solution upon install. The management server generates the unique endpoint identifier and provides it to the endpoint agent. Periodically, checks are run on the endpoint by the endpoint agent to determine if any of the hardware attributes have changed. If so, the endpoint identifier and the new hardware attribute values are sent to the management server, which uses the information to recognize the endpoint as the same endpoint or to detect a clone of known endpoint. If the endpoint type is unknown or does not exist, the unique software identifier may be used to facilitate the identification process, including the ability to detect a cloned machine.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling media data capture based on a real-world user experience is described herein. According to embodiments of the invention, media data is captured by a mobile computing device and transmitted to a server computer system in response to identifying one or more events from sensor data. The server computer system adds the captured media data, along with data identifying the event that initiated the capture of the media data, to a history of real-world experiences of a user of the mobile computing device. The server computer system may further perform one or more recognition processes on the captured media data and, when the one or more recognition processes find a match, associate the recognized items to the captured media data.

Abstract: Provided are a data transmission system and method of using a relay server. In the data transmission method using the relay server, the relay server transmits a registration result message to a client after registering the client through a registration packet when the client transmits the registration packet to the relay server. The relay server transmits registration information of the client to a location server. The location server stores client registration information according to each client.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to, among other things, determining whether some or all portions of an application stack implemented on a distributed system are vulnerable to availability issues. In some examples, a web service may utilize or otherwise control a client instance to control, access, or otherwise manage resources of a distributed system. Based at least in part on comparing one or more customer graphs with one or more model, curated, or best practice graphs of a distributed system, availability risks and/or deployment recommendations may be provided. Additionally, in some examples, one or more remediation and/or migration operations may be performed automatically or provided as recommendations.

Abstract: A method for sending messages within notifications to a recipient is disclosed. The method includes receiving information related to at least one recipient and receiving a selection of at least two messages from a plurality of messages. The method also includes associating the at least one recipient with the at least two messages, and transmitting at least one notification to the at least one recipient, the at least one notification comprising the at least two messages. A system for sending messages within notifications to a recipient is also provided.

Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and method of remotely communicating with a managed machine. One example method of operation may include identifying the managed machine operating in a communication network, and transmitting a connection establishment message to the managed machine over the communication network. The method may also include receiving an acceptance message from the managed machine, requesting an administrative service of the managed machine, initiating the administrative service on the managed machine, and forwarding received commands to the administrative service. Such a procedure provides an administrator with the capability to access, modify, update, etc., administrative services operating on a remotely managed machine.

Abstract: Providing metadata subscription services includes receiving a notification subscription request containing an item selected from a plurality of items residing in a repository. The items are stored in hierarchically-arranged levels of storage within the repository. Providing the services also includes determining that metadata of the item has been modified and creating a notification including changes made with respect to the metadata and any others of the items residing in the repository at a storage level equal to a storage level of the item and any storage levels that are lower than the storage level of the item. Providing the services further includes transmitting the notification to a user-specified first address and transmitting a copy of the item including the changes to a user-specified second address. The user-specified second address is different than the user-specified first address.

Abstract: A pollution information message system provides a system and method for generating and transmitting pollution information messages. In one embodiment, the pollution information message system employs a transceiver network with a plurality transceivers coupled to monitoring devices. Control room operators receive a pollution information message from an identifiable transceiver. The transceiver, identified by an identification code, indicates a location and the nature of the detected pollution. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Improved techniques for managing enterprise applications on mobile devices are described herein. Each enterprise mobile application running on the mobile device has an associated policy through which it interacts with its environment. The policy selectively blocks or allows activities involving the enterprise application in accordance with rules established by the enterprise. Together, the enterprise applications running on the mobile device form a set of managed applications. Managed applications are typically allowed to exchange data with other managed applications, but are blocked from exchanging data with other applications, such as the user's own personal applications. Policies may be defined to manage data sharing, mobile resource management, application specific information, networking and data access solutions, device cloud and transfer, dual mode application software, enterprise app store access, and virtualized application and resources, among other things.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication provisioning is disclosed. A first wireless communication provisioning state associated with one or more identifiers is defined. A second wireless communication provisioning state associated with one or more identifiers is defined. A state transition rule is defined, wherein the state transition rule defines a transition between the first wireless communication provisioning state and the second wireless communication provisioning state, wherein the first wireless communication provisioning state and the second wireless communication provisioning state are based on the lifecycle of the service of a wireless communication device associated with the first and second wireless communication provisioning states.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that enable an email service provider to implement an email forwarding service without losing associated page views. In one embodiment, rather than forwarding the entire email message, the email forwarding service generates a summary email message, and sends this summary email message to the forwarding email address pre-specified by the subscriber. This summary email message includes a link that is selectable by the user to view the original email message on a web site of the email service provider. Thus, even if the forwarding email address is hosted externally, the subscriber still views the full email message on a web site of the provider of the email forwarding service.

Abstract: An inspection system for inspecting a surface of a wafer/mask/reticle can include a modular array. The modular array can include a plurality of time delay integration (TDI) sensor modules, each TDI sensor module having a TDI sensor and a plurality of localized circuits for driving and processing the TDI sensor. At least one of the localized circuits can control a clock associated with the TDI sensor. At least one light pipe can be used to distribute a source illumination to the plurality of TDI sensor modules. The plurality of TDI sensor modules can be positioned capture a same inspection region or different inspection regions. The plurality of TDI sensor modules can be identical or provide for different integration stages. Spacing of the modules can be arranged to provide 100% coverage of the inspection region in one pass or for fractional coverage requiring two or more passes for complete coverage.

Abstract: A monitoring system for use with a sewing machine. The monitoring system includes a camera assembly mounted to a base of the sewing machine with a camera that collects images from a bottom side of the fabric. The camera assembly delivers images of the back side of the fabric to a monitor assembly that includes a display device. The display device displays the images collected by the camera. The monitor can be mounted to an upper or arm portion of the sewing machine for convenient viewing by the operator during use of the sewing machine.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a server machine and network processing method capable of running a plurality of same server applications at a time on a single OS in a single sever machine. A server machine comprises a packet dispatching processor for retrieving a destination application group of a communication packet based on first identification information included in a communication packet received by any of a plurality of ports and first management information; for retrieving a plurality of endpoints based on second identification information included in the communication packet and second management information; and for dispatching the communication packet to a server application corresponding to any of the plurality of the retrieved endpoints and belonging to the retrieved application group.

Abstract: A computer system for hosting electronic group chat is provided. The computer system includes a memory device for storing data and a processor coupled in communication with the memory device. The processor is programmed to electronically host a plurality of chat rooms, associate a first chat room of the plurality of chat rooms with a first element inputted into the computer system, and transmit chat communications between a plurality of users of the chat rooms.

Abstract: Various features are disclosed for generating and presenting users with resource metadata regarding the usefulness or predicted usefulness of particular pages, sites, and/or other network resources. The metadata may be based partly or wholly on the monitored browsing behaviors of many users, including behaviors reflective of whether particular resources were useful to the users. The metadata may, in some cases, be personalized for particular users based, for example, on their browsing environments or contexts. For example, the metadata presented to a smartphone user regarding a particular link may reflect a determination of whether the target resource is well suited for display on smartphones generally or on the user's particular model of smartphone.

Abstract: This document describes techniques for, and apparatuses capable of, provider-specific parsing for content retrieval. In one embodiment, a user's computing device receives code (e.g., an executable script) from a content provider and utilizes a parsing scheme associated with the content provider to parse the code and determine an address that can be used to retrieve an instance of content. The instance of content can then be retrieved using the address and without executing the code. In some embodiments, the parsing scheme is specific to the content provider and can be updated based on a change to the code.
