  • Patent number: 7216433
Abstract: The present invention relates to a reciprocating saw tool (10) having a motor drive (17) with a reciprocating driver (21) for a tool (15) and having a mass equilibrating body (22). In addition, a device (20) is provided, which serves to convert a rotary movement of the motor drive (17) into a reciprocating movement of the reciprocating driver (21) along a first movement axis (41) and an opposite reciprocating movement of the mass equilibrating body (22) along a second movement axis (42). For improving the sawing performance, the mass equilibrating body (22) is guided at an angle ? to the reciprocating driver (21) so that its movement axis (42) is constantly at an angle to the movement axis (41) of the reciprocating driver (21).

  • Patent number: 7191522
Abstract: In a cutting blade assembly for an electric foil shaver, a first cutting blade of the assembly has a generally planar first face, a generally planar second face opposite the first face, and a peripheral cutting edge. The first cutting blade has at least one bump disposed on its first face. A second cutting blade of the assembly has a generally planar first face, a generally planar second face opposite the first face, and a peripheral cutting edge. The first and second cutting blades are arranged in generally parallel relationship with each other with the first face of the first cutting blade facing either the first face or the second face of the second cutting blade. The bump on the first face of the first cutting blade keeps the first and second cutting blades otherwise separated during a coating process in which the faces of the cutting blades are coated.

  • Patent number: 7162803
Abstract: A foldable tool retainer capable of updating the tool easily comprises an upper casing sheet; an upper pad; a work tool; a lower pad; a resisting sheet; and a lower casing sheet. When updating the work tool, it is only necessary to press the upper button to drive a buckling end of the upper control sheet to separate from the edge of a rotary shaft of the resisting sheet so that the lower pad can rotate around the ratchet shaft of the lower casing sheet again and the rotary shaft moves out of the notch of the upper pad. Then other components are detached along a sequence of actions reversing to the assembly process.

  • Patent number: 7134374
Abstract: A safety cable cutter used for cutting a cable used in servicing an oil and gas well. A centrifugal arm roller and a guide roller are mounted on top of a frame. The cable is received on the rollers as the cable is lowered down a well bore. Mounted on ends of the centrifugal arm roller is a centrifugal arm attached to an arm coil spring. The coil spring holds the centrifugal arm next to the end of the roller. Opposite ends of a clamp attached to a cutter bar are slidably received in a pair of cutter bar guides. When the centrifugal arm roller exceeds a certain speed indicating a free fall of the cable, the bias force of the arm coil springs is overcome and the arms move outwardly. Contact ends of the arms engage the opposite ends of the clamp. The clamp and cutter bar are then moved outwardly and the cutter bar cuts the cable.

  • Patent number: 7096770
Abstract: There is provided an optical recording medium-manufacturing apparatus that is capable of accurately transferring a disk-shaped apparatus during a manufacturing process, and at the same time occupies a small installation area. A control section causes a cut-forming machine installed at a cut-forming location to form a cut in a resin layer of a disk-shaped substrate, then causes an indexing mechanism to rotate a transfer stage to thereby transfer the disk-shaped substrate formed with the cut to a central hole-forming location, and then causes a punching machine to punch a central hole.

  • Patent number: 7047859
Abstract: An optical recording medium-manufacturing apparatus which is capable of reducing wear of a cut-forming blade section used for forming a cut in a resin layer, without increasing the component costs of the apparatus. An ultrasonic horn includes a hollow-cylindrical cut-forming blade section for being pushed into a resin layer formed on one side of a disk-shaped substrate, thereby forming a circular cut in the resin layer. A control section controls motion of the ultrasonic horn caused by a moving mechanism. The control section causes the ultrasonic horn to be pushed in to the resin layer while causing ultrasonic vibration thereof to thereby form the cut, and while maintaining a state of ultrasonic vibration of the abutment section and a pushed-in state of the cut-forming blade section, causes the punching blade section to be pushed into the disk-shaped substrate, to form the central hole.

  • Patent number: 7044040
Abstract: Leading and trailing edge stitch tab scrap strippers utilize pivot arms which are secured to die block bodies for pivotable motion intermediate their two ends. One end of each arm is adapted to engage a stitch tab scrap portion to be stripped and to effect the removal of the tab scrap from a box blank from which it has been cut. A biasing force is applied against a second end of the pivot arm. The pivot arm is caused to pivot in response to the rotation of an upper male slotting head and a lower die cutting anvil. This pivotal movement is effective to strip or to eject the severed stitch tab scrap.
