  • Patent number: 9181503
Abstract: A method of thermal treatment of material in a reactor with a high-temperature chamber and with a self-crucible wall, including at least determining liquidus temperature Tliq of ashes derived from the treated material, wherein the operating temperature of the reactor Tfonc in its steady state is then chosen such that Tfonc>Tliq.

  • Patent number: 9145307
Abstract: A water resource treating device includes an inner tube having a wind inlet section, a front low-pressure section, and a buffering section in series. The front low-pressure section has an inner diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the buffering section. An outer tube is mounted around the inner tube. A flash space is defined between the inner and outer tubes. The outer tube includes a water filling hole and a draining hole both of which is in communication with the flash space. A condensing tank is mounted in the flash space and surrounds the front low-pressure section. The condensing tank is connected to the flash space by a water inlet tube. A water outlet tube is connected to the condensing tank for draining purified water in the condensing tank. A regulator is mounted in the front low-pressure section and controls communication between the inner tube and the condensing tank.

  • Patent number: 9101855
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for optimizing a net wash oil flow rate of a distillation unit to maximize a yield of distillate products. Based at least in part upon an incoming wash oil and total feed flow rates to the distillation unit, a wash oil entrainment amount can be calculated using an entrainment engine and an entrainment signal produced. The incoming wash oil flow rate to the distillation unit can be automatically adjusted based on the wash oil entrainment estimation while the distillation unit is operating.

  • Patent number: 9089788
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for purifying chlorosilanes by distillation, which includes providing a boron-containing mixture of chlorosilanes containing TCS, DCS and STC and purifying the mixture of chlorosilanes by distillation in a plurality of distillation columns, wherein low-boiling boron compounds are branched off from the distillation columns by overhead streams containing boron-enriched DCS and high-boiling boron compounds are branched off by a boron-enriched bottom stream containing high boilers.

  • Patent number: 9068123
Abstract: A new approach to the production of coke. In this process multiple optimized value streams are produced from a coke facility located at mine mouth or locally at an existing plant. As part of the process, lower cost Indiana/Illinois Basin-type coals are blended with conventional metallurgical coals. The blending process is optimized to meet coke quality requirements and simultaneously to obtain a pyrolysis gas composition suitable for production of ancillary products including liquid transportation fuels, fertilizer, hydrogen, and electricity. By using lower cost Indiana/Illinois Basin coal it is possible to reduce net coal costs. This process provides a new direction and approach for the production of coke in the future that optimizes value over multiple product streams while reducing both business and technological risk.
