  • Patent number: 8939697
Abstract: A transportable container apparatus includes an elongated container with an outlet port, and a trailer releasably attachable to the container at first and second trailer attachment locations corresponding to first and second orientations of the outlet port with respect to the trailer. An actuator mounted to the trailer is operative, when the trailer is attached to the container, to selectively move the container between a transport position where the container is supported on the trailer in a substantially horizontal orientation, and a working position where the container is supported on the ground in a substantially vertical orientation. The trailer can be attached to an appropriate location to position the outlet port in a desired orientation at a work site. Ballast weight can be added to the lower portion of the container to increase stability, and the ballasted tank with a maximum allowable weight can be transported to a work site.

  • Patent number: 8936426
Abstract: A material dumping system is suspendable by a single hoist line. A first hoist line pulley is attached to a forward attachment element on a dumping container so that the line can be wrapped under the first pulley to support the container. The hoist line extends from under the first pulley to a second pulley attachable to the hoist's support structure where it is wrapped over the second pulley to extend therefrom to a rearward attachment element on the dumping container. A selectively actuated hoist line brake permits rotation of both pulleys during normal raising and lowering of the dumping container with the container in a horizontal attitude. However, when it is desired to dump the contents of the container, the hoist line brake is actuated to prevent rotation of the second pulley while permitting rotation of the first pulley. The hoist line is then extended to tilt the container forward for dumping purposes.

  • Patent number: 8827620
Abstract: A lengthy article transferring apparatus transfers lengthy articles between the apparatus and target locations for the transfer. A lifting driving device lifts and drives a platform and a transferring device mounted thereon by winding a cord-like member. A controller controls actuation of the lifting driving device and the transferring device. A lifted position detector monitors the position of the platform. The controller performs the transferring operation to actuate the transferring device when end portions of the platform are received and supported by receivers provided at the target locations for the transfer, and performs a lifted position adjustment procedure controlling actuation of the lifting driving device based upon information detected by the lifted position detector during the transferring procedure to absorb variation in the position of the platform caused by a shift in the load acting on the platform as the article is transported in the article transferring direction.
