Abstract: A multiplicity of participants comprising utility operators, distributed energy resource (DER) providers, vendors/aggregators, energy customers, and utility financial officers, are communicatively connected to a platform. The platform provides interactive interfaces for each type of participant to access the platform over communication network. Utility operators are enabled to view and control DER in a certain area via an interface for utility operators. DER providers are enabled to interconnect DER packages to a utility grid via an interface for DER providers. Vendors/aggregators are enabled to view and manage their portfolios via an interface for vendors/aggregators. Energy customers are enabled to view energy information, shop for new products or services, and manage rate plans via an interface for marketplace. Utility financial officers are enabled to view revenue streams from the platform to a utility via an interface for financial settlement.

Abstract: As banking transactions are processed by a bank teller, all of the relevant information with respect to the transaction (e.g., dollar amount) is captured in an electronic file. Each of the electronic files from the various branches of the bank are forwarded to a central back office processing center where the electronic files are combined into a single Transaction Repository. At the end of the branch day, all of the paper associated with the transactions is forwarded from the branches to the back office processing center. The paper transactions are imaged in the conventional manner and the Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) data is read from the paper. The present invention then automatically correlates the images and MICR data captured from the paper with the complete transaction record contained in the Transaction Repository. Most of the conventional back office processing can now be performed without the need to perform character recognition and without the need for excess human intervention.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a transaction is authenticated by a payment provider, as opposed to a merchant, using two user devices without the user having to enter information, such as an email or password. When the user is ready to make a purchase from a merchant site, a unique transaction ID is created by the payment provider. That transaction ID, along with data about the transaction, such as specific items and cost, is automatically sent to the payment provider through a second device linked to the purchasing device. The payment provider compares the identifier from the sending device, such as the phone number, and the transaction ID with information stored in its database. If there is a match, the transaction/user may be approved or authenticated.

Abstract: The disclosure details the implementation of an apparatus, method, and system for a macroeconomic equity investment design and trade system (the Wavefront system). The disclosure teaches a set of quantitative tools to help investors design trades around macro themes. Part of the approach is a linked set of models called Wavefronts, which describe how economic shocks ripple through the economy into company performance, market value and equity returns in the US market. In one embodiment, the modeling may be viewed as having in three parts. The first converts an economic shock into a comprehensive set of shifts in the economy. The second takes those economic shifts and drives them into company fundamentals. The third values those fundamentals based on what the market normally pays.

Abstract: A computerized method for optimizing a real estate management or selection process. This system scores various potential new real estate Comps in accordance with customer selected and weighted factors, including a novel set of Key Selected Driver (KSD) factors that rate a building's suitability to the customer's needs, according to an algorithmic scoring system. The system can use KSD factors to take into account the demographics of various cities or geographic regions, as well as take into account the distribution of employee homes, local traffic patterns, and the like. The system may also comprise a financial modeling section as well that makes alternative future cost projections based various financial parameters. The method can graphically show multiple potential sites, financial data, KSD factors, demographic factors, and mapping data simultaneously, thus allowing for rapid and intuitive optimization.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for managing creation, delivery, and redemption of stored value tokens such as gift cards and electronic gift cards. An interface presented to a donor at a terminal allows the donor to specify details of a token, including token value and whether the token is to be associated with a particular retailer or group of retailers. The donor is also able to specify restrictions on the use of the token. For example, the donor may prohibit the purchase of particular categories of products or may specify categories of products authorized for purchase and the amount that may be spent for each category. The donor is also able to specify particular products to be purchased. A token definition is stored and a token associated with the definition is delivered to a recipient. When the recipient presents the token for redemption, the token is redeemed according to the definition.

Abstract: A method of executing a transaction for a user at a self-service terminal is described. The method comprises: (a) sensing a stroke gesture delineated by the user on a touch-sensitive panel; (b) recognizing the delineated stroke gesture; and (c) matching the delineated stroke gesture to one of a plurality of defined transaction strokes, each defined transaction stroke being associated with a specific transaction. The method further comprises (d) executing the specific transaction associated with the matched transaction stroke.

Abstract: A display of a computing device is updated to present an electronic user interface that provides a keyword entry control. Through the keyword entry control, keywords are received that are associated with an advertisement. Computer processors are used to determine whether keywords are overbroad in accordance with a ratio of a number of times that the keywords have been used in search queries provided by users to a click-through rate of other advertisements presented to the users responsive to the search queries. Low-performing keywords are identified from the overbroad keywords. At the display of the computing device, the electronic user interface is updated to present a visualization of a list of the low-performing keywords, and to provide a set of interactive controls. The set of one or more interactive controls includes a given control that removes a corresponding low-performing keyword from being associated with the advertisement.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing shared expenses. The systems and methods may include a financial service provider identifying shared expenses in a customer's transaction history with software application executed on a server or personal computing device. The financial service provider may identify other individuals with whom the customer shares the expense, and send requests for reimbursement on the customer's behalf. The financial service provider may monitor the status of reimbursement payments, and send reminders as necessary until the shared expense has been reimbursed.

Abstract: A payment terminal such as a payment reader may receive and form electrical connections with an electronic transaction card such as an EMV chip card. The payment terminal may provide power to the electronic transaction card and initiate communications with the electronic transaction card. One or more records may be acquired from the electronic transaction card. Data objects may be extracted from those records and stored in a cache. Data objects may be needed to process transactions. If the data object is available from the data cache or is otherwise received prior to all records being received, transactions may be processed prior to the acquisition of all records from the electronic transaction card.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for utilizing a block chain distributed network for generation of blocks with searchable metadata code embedded therein for recreating a historic record of how a transaction is processed from a client origination to external clearing. The invention provides a process by which a distributed ledger technology is utilized to store complete payment structures and their events across application life-cycles to recreate a historic record of event processing. The record allows for complex tracking and tracing across complex event processing where data points are received, spliced, and processed across multiple applications in a high quantity high velocity environment.

Abstract: The field of the invention relates to systems and methods for operation of a matching service, and more specifically to operation of a matching service utilizing electronic data related to participants' experiences, e.g., locations visited and activities completed. In an embodiment, the system includes a matching server system, operatively coupled to a network, configured to calculate a compatibility value generated from correlating a first user match profile with a second user match profile, such correlation resulting in a potential match if the compatibility value exceeds a predetermined threshold, and at least one user device, operatively coupled to the network, wherein the user device is configured to enable users to post and respond to user experiences. When a second user responds to the posting of the first user, the compatibility value correlating the first user match profile with the second user match profile is increased. The user experiences include at least one of places and activities.
