Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed herein that relate to tuning gesture recognition characteristics for a device configured to receive gesture-based user inputs. For example, one disclosed embodiment provides a head-mounted display device including a plurality of sensors, a display configured to present a user interface, a logic machine, and a storage machine that holds instructions executable by the logic machine to detect a gesture based upon information received from a first sensor of the plurality of sensors, perform an action in response to detecting the gesture, and determine whether the gesture matches an intended gesture input. The instructions are further executable to update a gesture parameter that defines the intended gesture input if it is determined that the gesture detected does not match the intended gesture input.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus according to an embodiment determines whether an object which is a target of processing corresponding to user operation is displayed in a display area. If the object of the target is displayed in the display area, the apparatus executes the processing on the object in accordance with the user operation, but if the object of the target is not displayed in the display area, the apparatus suspends execution of the processing.

Abstract: Methods and systems to process a selection of a browser back button are described. The system includes a server that receives a request, over a network, for an initial user interface and communicates the initial user interface to a client machine. The initial user interface includes a client application program that monitors and identifies whether a storage location in a hidden frame is updated by a browser. The browser updates the storage location with a first user interface identifier in response to receipt of a single browser back navigation element selection. The client application program associates the first user interface identifier to a second user interface identifier responsive to the identification of the storage location as being updated. The client application program displays the second user interface in a visible frame responsive to the identification of the storage location as being updated.

Abstract: The control device of a communication system of an aircraft having a predefined number of communication channels comprises a processing unit and one or more sets of buttons each associated with a communication channel. The number of sets of buttons is less than the predefined number of communication channels of the communication system. The device comprises a set of call buttons comprising at least one transmission button, and a display area on a display screen, this display area being associated with the set of call buttons. The processing unit is configured to display an indication in the display area associated with the set of call buttons when the communication system receives a call on a channel with which no set of buttons is associated and to select this channel for transmission following an action of a user on the transmission button of the set of call buttons.

An exemplary method may include establishing, using the web-based user interface, a profile including one or more services; and configuring an environment by specifying a computer to use for provisioning the one or more services in the profile. Furthermore, the method may include provisioning the one or more services in the configured environment, such that the one or more services generate a return code indicating a status of the provisioning.

The composing portion of the software program is used to create a presentation. The presentation includes a list of URLs for display, a desired sequence of display of the URLs, and a duration of display of the URLs. The performing portion of the software program operates to load and display the presentation to a user of the web in an automatic slide show presentation.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an information handling system may include a processor, a display that may provide a user interface allowing a user to select one or more system utilities to be accessed, memory that may include a plurality of memory partitions storing a plurality of system utilities, and a management controller. During a configuration of the information handling system, the management controller may receive a request from the user via the user interface to access one or more selected system utilities; identify one or more memory partitions storing the one or more selected system utilities; and cause the display to display one or more user-selectable icons corresponding to the one or more identified memory partitions to provide the user access to the one or more identified memory partitions.

Abstract: A method and system for providing an overlay window for an application to display augmentation data over the user interface of the application is provided. An overlay system includes an overlay component and an engine component that interface with the application and a presentation manager used by the application to provide the application window. When the overlay system starts up, it initializes the overlay component and the engine component. The overlay component tracks the portion of the application that is currently visible and displays augmentation data in an overlay window over the application window. The engine component provides augmentation functionality that generates the augmentation data and generates the overlay window based on the augmentation data. When the visible portion of the application data changes, the overlay component requests the engine component to generate the overlay window for the currently visible application data.

Abstract: An information management and distribution system is disclosed. The information management and distribution system includes a client-side application and a server application that interact to facilitate the controlled exchange of contact information over a network. The client-side application can provide creation and design, rolodex, exchange, and update features. The information management and distribution system can also include a corporate administrator application. Still another aspect of the invention is that contact information can be distributed to registered users in a common format.

Abstract: A tool data engine displays instructional information to an end-user of a software application that pertains to one or more tools associated with the software application. The tool data engine displays the instructional information within a graphical user interface (GUI) after the user has indicated interest in that tool. The instructional information includes a detailed description of the tool and one or more video clips associated with the tool. The tool data engine also allows end-users to record and/or upload video clips that demonstrate usage of the tool.

Abstract: The implementations described herein include methods and systems for displaying graphical representations of datasets. A method is performed at a computer having one or more processors and memory storing programs for execution by the processors. The method receives a request from a user to display a graphical representation of a dataset. In response to the request, the method identifies a plurality of alternative graphical representations of the dataset. Each alternative graphical representation has a respective associated view type. The method ranks the plurality of alternative graphical representations in accordance with a rating system. The rating system is based on a set of criteria, which includes at least one user-specific criterion. The method selects for display a resulting graphical representation from among the plurality of alternative graphical representations based on the ranking.

Abstract: Click-to-callback provides an icon or link on a webpage that a user can select or click on. When the icon or link is clicked or otherwise selected, the user is provided with a list of his phone numbers to choose from, or a blank field to enter an alternate number, for an immediate return call from a representative of the entity (e.g., the company) associated with the webpage. When this request is submitted, the representative desirably calls the user back immediately (e.g., within about 10 seconds) to provide assistance. Thus, the user remains on the website, and gets the help he desires to continue on the website, which may, for example, lead to the user making an online purchase.

The relationship between the media segment and the media asset can be described as a parent-child relationship, such that media segment content and media asset content are not intermingled. The asset binder does not combine content of the media segment with content of the media asset within a rendered and compiled media file.
