Abstract: A method and an apparatus for using a device to determine an item, such as, for example, a card based on an interaction environment, such as, for example, a settlement environment, are provided. The method by which a device determines a card to be used in a settlement includes: acquiring a card use history of a card, which is stored in the device; acquiring information which relates to a settlement environment of the device; determining a card to be used in the settlement, based on the acquired information relating to the settlement environment and the acquired card use history; and providing settlement information which relates to the determined card to a point of sale (POS) terminal.

Abstract: A method is implemented in a credit control server (CCS). The method includes receiving, at the CCS from a credit control client (CCC), a message associated with a multiple services credit control (MSCC) session, where the message includes a request for service units associated with a service account. The method further includes determining, at the CCS, that insufficient service units are available in the service account and notifying the CCC that service units need to be added to the service account. The method also includes maintaining, at the CCS, MSCC session related parameters while the CCC adds service units to the service account.

Abstract: Charging systems and associated methods are disclosed that provide interim billing for a session in an IMS network. The charging system includes a charging data system that receives accounting messages from network elements serving the session in the IMS network, and generates partial CDRs for each network element based on the accounting messages. The charging data system also sets an aggregation/correlation timer. Responsive to an expiration of the aggregation/correlation timer, the charging data system aggregates the partial CDRs for each network element to generate an aggregated CDR for each network element. The charging system further includes a charging gateway system that, in further response to the expiration of the aggregation/correlation timer, correlates the aggregated CDRs to generate an interim consolidated CDR for the session, and transmits the interim consolidated CDR to a billing system. The billing system may then provide interim billing for the session based on the interim consolidated CDR.

Abstract: The present invention is a flight deck situational awareness system for displaying Required Time of Arrival (RTA) information for an aircraft. The system may include a memory configured for storing aircraft navigation information for the aircraft. The system may also include a processor. The processor may be configured for being communicatively coupled with the memory and may further be configured for receiving the aircraft navigation information stored in the memory. The processor may generate a depiction based upon the aircraft navigation information. The depiction may include a Required Time of Arrival (RTA) flight cue for the aircraft. The system may further include a display, which may be communicatively coupled with the processor. The display may receive the depiction from the processor and may display the depiction.

The catalog can be synchronized in real-time or periodically with the external vendors' products and services.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identifying points of interest and specific locations located in the vicinity of an expected future location of a user. When a user provides a search request for a point of interest that will be of interest only at a future time, the electronic device can automatically predict an expected future location of the user, and provide points of interest near the expected future location.

The service request is submitted to a service catalog and dispatched to a data integration and API module. The service request is transmitted to a management module and processed with respect to a plurality of service providers. Inter process communications associated with the service request are managed. Additionally, an account associated with the service request and the plurality of service providers is managed.

The unavailable navigation route is excluded in subsequently provided navigation routes.

Abstract: A system and method including a mobile application installed on a mobile device and configured to authenticate a merchant represented by a unique identifier, determine a position of the mobile device while the mobile device is co-located with a transaction terminal of the merchant, communicate the position to a portal to associate the position with the unique identifier and to receive an account number, and provide the account number to generate an authorization request on the transaction terminal. The authorization request includes a terminal identifier of the transaction terminal. When the authorization request generated using the account number is detected, the association between the account number provided to the mobile application and the location received from the mobile application is replaced with the association between the terminal identifier extracted from the authorization request and the location.

Abstract: Mobile commerce authentication and authorization systems enable currently existing point-of-sale devices that are neither structurally nor systemically altered to conduct financial transactions with a customer using an access terminal across a wireless communications system. The point-of-sale devices receive an input from a payment instrument replacement, which identifies the transaction to the point-of-sale device as a transaction including an access terminal. Authentication of the user of the access terminal is achieved at least by application of position and/or location determinable features of the access terminal, the position and/or location of a point-of-sale device of a vendor or merchant where the customer seeks to purchase goods or services, and the payment sum entered on the point-of-sale device. A payment matching server may assist in processing the location data and the payment sum amount across communications network.

Abstract: A secondary entity can purchase a gift card from a card holder. The secondary entity can extract complete information including identification and access information from the gift card and store this information on a database. The physical artifact of the gift card can then be optionally discarded or recycled. This information including the credit value can then be sold independent of the physical artifact (e.g., original gift card object) within the secondary market. When sold, the specific information for the original gift card is extracted from the database and programmed into a new artifact (i.e., blank gift card), which may be at a different location as the original gift card. For example, the credit value can be made accessible from a different physical artifact, which can be physically conveyed to a value purchaser. This different physical artifact can be utilized in the same manner as the original gift card.

For example, the confirmation may be received via a credit-authorization-terminal service object that is a driver for the credit-authorization terminal.

Abstract: A method for determining an appropriate redemption presentation for a virtual token associated with a stored value account is disclosed. The method may include receiving a request for presenting a redemption presentation of a virtual token and obtaining a merchant identifier associated with the request. The method may further include determining if the request is for one of an on-line transaction and a transaction with a point-of-sale terminal, and if the request is for a transaction with a point-of-sale terminal, then searching a database using the merchant identifier to find one or more redemption presentations of virtual token preferred by a merchant. Subsequently, the one or more redemption presentations of the virtual token may be transmitted over a computer network to a client device.
