Abstract: An industrial process control system is provided. The industrial control system includes an alarm server with a processor configured to receive device information representative of field device information extracted from a device definition file. The processor is further configured to translate the device information into a first format interpretable by a global system for mobile communications (OPC AE) server and provide the device information in the first format to the OPC AE server.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for multi-carrier/multi-cell discontinuous reception (DRX)/discontinuous transmission (DTX) operations, autonomous deactivation of the secondary carrier(s)/cell(s), and explicit activation/deactivation of DRX/DTX and secondary carriers/cells are disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may configure at least one state variable for controlling DRX and/or DTX on a plurality of cells and perform an DRX and/or DTX operation on a subset of cells based on a state variable associated with the subset of cells on a cell group basis. The UE may activate or deactivate DRX and/or DTX based on an order from a network for all cells, a group of cells, or an individual cell. The UE may deactivate the secondary cells autonomously based on activity on the cell(s).

Abstract: Wireless communication devices are disclosed that are capable of selecting and changing signal polarities depending on channel conditions in order to improve or optimize communication therebetween. When a first polarization direction is deemed inadequate, the devices can switch to communicating via a second polarization. In addition, information relating to received signal qualities in the different polarizations can be stored in each device to allow for quick and efficient exchanges between configurations. Finally, when conditions warrant, the devices can enter a dynamic polarization configuration in which signal polarizations are switched rapidly so as to enjoy benefits of diversity.
Abstract: A femtocell gateway apparatus arranged on a mobile IMS network comprises a conversion unit that when receiving a request from a terminal via a mobile network, transfers the request to a femtocell access point located in a home, reads a stream or file including at least one of video and audio, from at least one of devices connected to the femtocell access point and devices connected thereto via a home network, subjects the read stream or file to a conversion suitable for at least one of the capability of the terminal and the characteristics of the network, and outputs the stream or file converted. The output packet is then sent through a packet forwarding apparatus on the mobile network to the terminal.
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for wireless communication includes receiving a channel feedback information from a user equipment at a base station. A control channel is allocated in a data region of a subframe as indicated by the channel feedback information. The control channel within the subframe is transmitted to the user equipment.
Abstract: A slave computer out of a plurality of slave computers that are connected to a plurality of clients through a front network and provide the front network with a single IP address that is a same IP address comprises: a responsible client table that indicates a client for which each of the plurality of slave computers is responsible; and an ARP processing unit that refers to the responsible client table when an ARP request for the single IP address has been received from one of the plurality of clients and sends an ARP response when a client that has sent the ARP request is present in the responsible client table, and otherwise does not send the ARP response, wherein a client in the responsible client table is added, changed, or deleted by a master computer connected through a back-end network.
Abstract: When time resource data that is assigned to a downlink control channel signal is reported on the downlink, the present invention improves the reliability of the time resource data that is reported, and prevent purposeless repetitions of retransmission requests. A base station apparatus (20) is provided herein, which jointly codes a carrier indicator of a basic frequency block with time resource data assigned to a downlink control channel signal corresponding to a downlink shared channel signal, generates a downlink control channel signal including the coded carrier indicator as the downlink control channel signal corresponding to the downlink shared channel signal, and transmits the generated downlink control channel signal by the basic frequency block assigned to the downlink control channel signal.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for handover in a broadband wireless communication system supporting a Mobile Relay Station (MRS) are provided. The method includes transmitting a Connection ID (CID) of Mobile Stations (MSs), the CIDs pre-allocated by a target BS, to the MSs; sending a resource allocation message comprising uplink resource allocation information for bandwidth request of the MSs, to the MSs; receiving a bandwidth request message which comprises security authentication information of each MS, from the MSs using an uplink resource allocated through the uplink resource allocation information; and aggregating bandwidth request messages of the MSs and sending a ranging request message comprising the security authentication information and bandwidth request information of the MSs to the target BS.

Abstract: A method for operating a VRRP router and a communication system therefor, wherein a first router operating as a backup router receives an advertisement message from a second router operating as a master router during a first period, and checks a session state of the second router using a BFD module during a second period that is shorter than the first period. Upon detecting a session down for the second router by the BFD module, the first router compares a time at which the advertisement message was received and a time at which the session down was detected, with the first and second periods, and determines an operation state of the second router according to comparison results. The first router switches from a backup router to a master router, and sends an advertisement message to the second router, if the second router is in a down state.
