Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system for creating, by a computing device, a child leaf of a snapshot associated with a parent leaf of a volume. At least one entry associated with one of the parent leaf and the child leaf may be added to a delta log. Only delta changes are written to the child leaf. One of a first destaging technique and a second destaging technique may be used for the child leaf.

Abstract: A virtual machine disk image file backup is selected among a plurality of virtual machine disk image file backups stored on a backup storage based on a backup update policy. A version of the selected virtual machine disk image file backup is mounted. Based on the backup update policy, an update to the mounted version of the selected virtual machine disk image file backup is applied without restoring the selected virtual machine disk image file backup. The updated version of the selected virtual machine disk image file backup is stored on the backup storage.

Abstract: A streamlined approach enables customers to retain management control over their data in a database-as-a-service (“DBaaS”) setting, by providing managed backup copies outside cloud service providers' sphere of control. An illustrative data storage management system provides control over performing backup operations to generate managed backup copies, storing managed backup copies, recovering managed backup copies in whole or in part, migrating managed backup copies, and migrating DBaaS instances. Management control also extends to choices of where to store the managed backup copies, whether on the same cloud computing platform as the source DBaaS, on a different cloud computing platform, and/or in a non-cloud data center.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is disclosed. In a deployed enterprise resource planning system implementing a first fiscal year variant, the method can configure a second fiscal year variant that is different from the first fiscal year variant. The method can identify a list of target tables in the deployed enterprise resource planning system that contains the first fiscal year variant. The method can convert the first fiscal year variant to the second fiscal year variant in the list of target tables. In certain embodiments, the method can replace the first fiscal year variant with the second fiscal year variant in a reference framework interfacing with the list of target tables.

Abstract: A method for storing driving record data based on a blockchain comprises generating and storing driving record information associated with a driving of a vehicle; detecting occurrence of a predetermined event to the vehicle; if the occurrence of the event is detected, extracting driving record information related to the event from the stored driving record information; converting the extracted driving record information into transaction data; and transmitting the converted transaction data to a consortium blockchain network system.

Abstract: Methods, non-transitory machine readable media, and computing devices that provide file backup catalogs with improved scalability are disclosed. With this technology, a sequence number is incremented and an entry for a snapshot associated with obtained metadata for the snapshot is generated. The snapshot entry comprises a snapshot identifier for the snapshot and the incremented sequence number. A current version flag is then set in another entry for a file associated with a create event identified in the metadata. The file entry includes a file identifier for the file, a create attribute comprising the incremented sequence number, and a delete attribute. The file and snapshot entries are then inserted into indice(s) in a catalog database. Based on the schema of the indice(s), this technology provides a lightweight, elegant, and highly scalable catalog that more efficiently facilitates full path global file search and restore functionality with reduced resource utilization.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing a digital personal assistant. The digital personal assistant determining that a user has initiated a user experience with it. In response, the digital personal assistant collects information concerning the user's sensibilities about content and a current context in which the digital personal assistant is being used. With that information, the digital personal assistant infers facets of the user's sensibilities and deduces a context of use. With those inferences and that deduction, the digital personal assistant evaluates whether the presentation of responsive content should be modified to better comport with the user's sensibilities and to be more appropriate for the context of use. Additionally, in response to determining a user's need for content, the digital personal assistant can use the inference and deduction to supply suggested content to the user.

A sort priority of sort criteria may also be determined. The set of data items are sorted based on the sort criteria and sort priority. The sort result is displayed using the visual properties of identify the sorting order of each corresponding sort criteria. The visual properties may include, for example, the display location, size, color, animation, or other visual aspect of the data items.

The database service generates a set of generational data tables configured to receive a subset of time series data. Each generational data table is created with an initial set of access parameters that facilitates the receipt of incoming time series data. Thereafter, the database service creates additional generational data tables to receive the continuous received time series data and then modifies the access parameters of the previously created data table, such as for read only rights.

Abstract: Generally described, one or more aspects of the present application relate to a public snapshot service for creating and managing block-level snapshots. For example, the public snapshot service can create a snapshot based on (i) a specification of a parent snapshot to be used as a basis for a given snapshot, and (ii) a specification of the data blocks to be backed up in the given snapshot. The data blocks in the snapshot may be stored in a specific storage path structure that facilitates computation of a block difference with respect to the parent snapshot.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a platform is provided that utilizes information available to a computer system to feed a neural network. The neural network is trained to determine both the probability that a searcher would select a given potential search result if it was presented to him or her and the probability that a subject of the potential search result would respond to a communication from the searcher. These probabilities are combined to produce a single score that can be used to determine whether to present the searcher with the potential search result and, if so, how high to rank the potential search result among other search results. During the training process, a rescaling transformation for each input feature is learned and applied to the values for the input features.

When a data source supports a target feature of an expression of a query in the common query language, the system executes a converter for the data source to convert the target feature to the corresponding feature of the data source query language. When a data source does not support the target feature of the expression, the system submits to the data source a query without the expression and evaluates the expression on the query results returned by the data source. Abstract: As a user navigates a website and/or mobile application, events may be captured. Example events include user interactions, return of information from services, and recommendation calls. Event stream data associated with the event may be collected once and provided to a server platform via a streaming data service. The event stream data may be converted to an appropriate structure for storage at the server platform by applying a schema. The schema applied may take advantage of a format in which the event stream data is captured at the client application. This enables the client application to provide minimal data to the server platform (e.g., an incomplete record) and the server platform to complete the record according to the schema. The event stream data may be saved internally within a database of the server platform, and distributed to one or more third parties in a compatible format.

Abstract: A method and system for clustering users using cognitive stress report for classifying stress levels is provided. Detection and monitoring of cognitive stress experienced by users while performing a task is very crucial. The method includes receiving, user evaluated cognitive stress reports and the physiological signals of the user during the performance of the task. A normalized cognitive report is generated from the user evaluated cognitive stress report by computing mode and range value. The normalized cognitive stress reports of the users are used to cluster the users into a primary cluster and a secondary cluster. Feature sets are extracted from the physiological signals of the said users associated with the primary cluster. Using the said feature sets a classifier model is trained to classify the cognitive stress levels of the users as stressful class or stressless class.
