The compartment comprises a wall (26) that comprises a first region (28) that is surrounded by a second bellows-like region (30) that enables the first region to be displaced from a first position to a second position to cause the material to be released from the compartment. The wall can comprise a protrusion (X) that extends into the compartment such that, when the wall is displaced to the second position, the protrusion can cause the material to be released from the compartment. Also, when the wall is displaced to the second position the first region can act directly on the material to force it out of the compartment.

Abstract: A tray system for display, storage and transportation of bottles includes a first tray having a plurality of stacking units. Each stacking unit can include a lower receptacle for receiving a neck portion of a first bottle. Each stacking unit can also include an upper receptacle for receiving a base portion of a second bottle to be stacked vertically above a first bottle. The lower receptacle can include a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a sidewall connecting the first end with the second end. The first end forms an opening for receiving a neck of the first bottle into the lower receptacle. The lower receptacle further includes a protective element. The protective element can be attached to the lower receptacle to provide a protective guard between the lower receptacle and a shoulder portion of the first bottle received in the lower receptacle.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to containers and other shaped articles (e.g., trays and dishes) for containing articles such as food products (e.g., cuts of meat and poultry or liquid-sensitive electronic parts) in shaped articles such as. In one aspect, the container has a reservoir portion into which liquid can be sequestered. In another aspect, the container includes a thermoformable substrate, a liner, and a lidding material, the lidding and the liner defining a compartment for containing articles. The compartment can be detached from the substrate by detaching the liner from the substrate without necessarily rupturing the compartment. A substantial portion of the containers described herein can be recycled by separating the liner and/or lidding from the substrate. The disclosure also relates to methods of making thermoformed articles having multiple layers that does not rely on use of a coextruded or other composite thermoplastic-containing substrate.

Abstract: This application describes an athletic activity transition device for use during multi-activity athletic events (to include decathlons, duathlons, biathlons, x-terra and other multi sporting activities that require transitioning between the various sporting activities) to minimize the time expended by an athlete during transitions from one athletic activity to the next. The disclosure is directed specifically to the device's blades which are used to carry athletic gear—specifically shoes, and are designed to be oriented in such a way to facilitate quick and efficient access to the gear when transitioning between athletic activities. The athletic activity transition device further provides a stable platform on which the athlete can sit during the changing process, thus allowing a brief rest period and saving time and energy otherwise wasted while trying to balance changing shoes and other gear in a standing position.

Abstract: An improved blow molded plastic container having generally rounded sidewalls that are adapted for hot-fill applications has two adjacent sides and two pairs of controlled deflection panels, each pair reacting to vacuum pressure at differing rates of movement, whereby one pair inverts under vacuum pressure and the other pair remains available for increased squeezability or extreme vacuum extraction. The opposing sidewalls are symmetric relative to vacuum panel and rib shape and placement. The ribs and controlled deflection panels cooperate to retain container shape upon filling and cooling and also improves bumper denting resistance, decreases vacuum pressure within the container, and increases light weight capability.

The system includes a can lid having a pour panel associated with a pour opening and a vent panel associated with a vent opening. A tab is attached to the can lid. The tab includes a primary tab portion configured to open the pour opening, and a secondary tab portion configured to open the vent opening. A rivet hole facilitates attachment of the primary tab portion and the secondary tab portion to the can lid. A shelf is bent about 180° around a rear edge of the primary tab portion. The shelf blocks at least a portion of the secondary tab portion from contacting the vent panel.

The universal members include an appropriate thickness and a plurality of openings configured to receive the different stacking patterns. Depending on the containers being stacked, the universal members may take different forms. For example, one universal member may include T-shaped openings while another universal member may include rectangular-shaped openings with offset members.
