Abstract: A speaker apparatus is a bass-reflex type woofer used in a speaker system, and includes a body portion for housing a speaker unit and a bass-reflex port mounted and fixed in the body portion. Further, in the speaker apparatus, a protrusion for temporarily fastening the bass-reflex port in the case of mounting and fixing the bass-reflex port is provided in the body portion.
Abstract: An exhaust manifold has a structure such that an end portion of a collecting section where pipes connected to respective cylinders of an engine are collected is connected to an exhaust pipe via a joint tube member. The joint tube member is constituted by an upper joint portion and a lower joint portion, and cut-out grooves are formed on both joining portions of the upper joint portion or the lower joint portion. With the cut-out grooves, a partition plate is engaged to be positioned, and in this state, the partition plate is fixed to the upper joint portion or the lower joint portion.
Abstract: A soundproofing assembly intended, in particular, to soundproof a motor vehicle. The inventive assembly includes four stacked layers, consisting respectively of: a first layer having an air resistance of between 500 and 2,000 N·m?3.s; a second porous, acoustic spring-type layer having a resistivity of between 10,000 N·m?4.s and 50,000 N·m?4.s; a third viscoelastic, airtight, heavy mass-type layer having a density that is greater than or equal to 1,500 Kg/m3 and a surface density of between 0.2 Kg/m2 and 9 Kg/m2; and a fourth porous, acoustic spring-type layer having a resistivity of between 10,000 N·m?4.s and 50,000 N·m?4.s.
Abstract: A method for containing fibrous material within muffler comprises the initial step of providing an internal assembly of a muffler. In the next method step, a sheet is placed about the internal assembly to form an enclosure about a compartment. In the next method step, the compartment is filled with a fibrous material. A muffler according to the invention comprises a muffler having an outer shell having an internal cavity and outer edges. An internal assembly is inserted within the internal cavity. The internal assembly comprises partitions and a sheet about the internal assembly and extending between the partitions from an enclosure between the partitions. The enclosure is filled with fibrous material. End plates are joined to the outer edges of the outer shell.
