  • Patent number: 11697080
Abstract: A portable pool filter cleaning assembly is configured to retain a pool filter on support rod and allow the pool filter to spin from a spray of water. The spinning filter releases debris from the filter surface through centrifugal force. The assembly has drainage features to ensure proper drainage of water collected within the interior of the pool filter and enable proper spinning from the spray of water. The assembly utilizes a support rod with a bottom filter retainer that is conical in shape for engaging with the pool filter aperture. The bottom filter retainer may further have a bearing that enables the pool filter to rotate freely about the rod with very little force. The assembly may include a stand for securing the support rod on a hard surface, such as concrete or on an uneven lawn surface.

  • Patent number: 11690360
Abstract: A filter arrangement for an aquarium is disclosed. The filter arrangement can include a housing assembly, a pump assembly, a transfer tube assembly, and a valve assembly for controlling water flow through the transfer tube assembly. The transfer tube assembly can include a tube structure within which a valve body of the valve assembly is rotatably disposed. The tube structure can be formed from a first tube half mated to a second tube half to permanently secure the valve body within the tube structure. A valve operator can be connected to the valve body to advantageously allow a user to manipulate the flow of water through the transfer tube assembly. Control of water flow through the filter arrangement is beneficial for obtaining a desired water flow for a certain aquarium size and application and for reducing flow during certain periods, such as during feeding.

  • Patent number: 11680000
Abstract: An extraction manifold for extracting digestate from a covered lagoon digester includes a digester vessel being shaped generally as a rectangular prism lacking an upward facing face and having a floor sloping generally downward from an intake face to an extraction face of the digester vessel. The intake face and extraction face are oriented vertically, situated in opposed relation on a longer horizontal axis. Each effluent pipe terminates in an extraction nozzle on one end and an independently addressable actuatable valve on the opposite end. Each actuatable valve communicates with a manifold plenum such that actuation of the valve draws digestate from the floor in a region of the floor adjacent to the extraction face and in proximity to the extraction nozzle. A valve controller actuates valves to remove digestate from the region of the floor adjacent to the extraction face. The valve controller includes sensors to monitor biogas production.

  • Patent number: 11643833
Abstract: An improved skimmer system is disclosed, as well as method of use and manufacture. The skimmer system comprises a base-basket and a moving section, where the moving section has two or more louvres defined therein. During use, the base-basket will likely remain stationary, but the moving section will float-travel along a vertical axis defined by the louvres. The skimmer system enables effective skimming regardless of potential changes in level of the pool water. The louvres within the moving section correspond with a plurality of slots within the base-basket. During installation of the system, a user would first position the base-basket within the bottom of any (existing) circular opening which normally houses a pool skimmer. Then, the user takes the movable section and loads it in on top of the base-basket.

  • Patent number: 11634349
Abstract: A multi-stage system comprising a digester, a bioreactor, a scrubber, a biofilter, and a membrane filter extracts and purifies biogas from a wastewater feed. The digester separates raw biogas from wastewater, the wastewater is then purified with a three-stage bacterial process in a bioreactor. The scrubber receives raw biogas from the digester under pressure, dissolving waste gases and purifying the methane, which can be further condensed and purified in the membrane filter. The bioreactor receives waste gases from the scrubber and membrane filter, with the ammonia portion of the waste gases rising through water from the bioreactor and being converted by annamox bacteria into nitrogen gas. The multiply recycled gas and water feeds produce a biogas having high purity and reduced atmospheric emissions of waste gases.
