  • Patent number: 11746496
Abstract: The present application relates to a precise lifting method and a lifting and reinforcing structure for a plant equipment foundation. The method includes the construction steps of: forming a curtain wall: drilling downwards at two sides of the plant equipment to form curtain holes and grouting the curtain holes, in which the grouting areas overlap each other to form two parallel curtain walls; forming a reinforcing body: drilling grouting holes inclining downwards, grouting the grouting holes to form the reinforcing body attached to a lower surface of a baseplate of the plant equipment foundation among a bottom of the baseplate and two curtain walls; and lifting: drilling lifting holes obliquely downwards to below the bottom of the reinforcing body and between two curtain walls; and conducting pressure grouting to the bottom of the lifting holes and then backward grouting upwards layer by layer.

  • Patent number: 11739629
Abstract: A bottom hole assembly (BHA) of a drill string includes a chassis, a plate coupled to the chassis, and a strain gauge coupled to the plate. The strain gauge is used to output a signal associated with a deformation of the plate. The plate and chassis may be included within a collar that experiences strain, and deformation of the collar may be translated to the chassis and the plate. The plate may experience strain in the form of torsional bending, in-plane bending, out-of-plane bending, axial tension or compression. The plate may include or be coupled to an electronics board that has strain gauges to measure different types of strain in isolation from other types of strain.

  • Patent number: 11739486
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve hydraulic systems and methods for altering a flow of a body of water, such as a river, channel, and/or other flowing or uncontained bodies of water. In one aspect, a hydraulic system provides a velocity barrier for the impedance of aquatic organism migration. More particularly, the velocity barrier may be adapted based on the swimming capabilities of one or more aquatic organisms to impede migration. The aquatic organism may be one or more species of fish, such as species sea lamprey (Petromyzon marinus). The example implementations shown and described herein reference the restriction of the sea lamprey. However, it will be appreciated that other aquatic organisms could be restricted by the presently disclosed technology, for example, with different hydraulic targets depending on swimming capabilities.

  • Patent number: 11739492
Abstract: A modular foundation assembly for building a modular foundation for a home includes a tarp that has a plurality of openings each strategically positioned on the tarp to facilitate the ground to be marked for a foundation. A plurality of concrete forms is provided which each has a trapezoidal shape. In this way each of the concrete forms can be lifted upwardly from a concrete member formed by the concrete forms when the concrete member has cured. Each of the concrete forms has a crenellated edge to form a series of slots into the concrete member. In this way the series of slots in the concrete member facilitate the concrete member to be lifted with a forklift.

  • Patent number: 11739488
Abstract: The present invention relates to inflatable bladder actuated water control gates for control of open channels such as rivers and canals and for control of dam spillways without the need for intermediate piers. The air bladder and hinge flap wedge clamping system includes hinged engagement of the upstream edge of the clamps to the foundation so as to prevent the application of bending and shear loads to the anchor bolts. The resulting configuration facilitates the use of high strength alloy steel anchor bolts in a corrosion protected environment and also prevents tensile loading of the concrete foundation and associated cracking of the concrete foundation.

  • Patent number: 11725360
Abstract: A sediment capping system is adapted to create, and distribute, a homogenized mixture of capping material. Where distributing the capping material, the system is configured to militate against the capping material forming clumps of a size and weight that would disturb the sediment on a bottom of a body of water. This in turn militates against the sediment being disturbed, and a disturbing of pollutants and toxins into the water surrounding the sediment. The sediment capping system militates against the clumping of capping material through a vibrating spreader and baffle system, producing a sediment cap with a more consistent depth that will minimally disturb the sediment on the floor of the body of water where the sediment cap is being deposited.

  • Patent number: 11725765
Abstract: A cable puller and associated methods are shown. Useful example methods include pipe bursting using cable pullers as shown. Cable pullers and methods shown provide a mechanical advantage that increases an amount of cable pulled in one cycle. Selected examples are shown that include a pulley located on a distal end of a moving portion of an extending and contracting beam. The pulley and the mechanical advantage it supplies helps to improve the efficiency of the cable puller and reduce manufacturing cost of the cable puller.
