Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method of skin detection of a human subject using a textile product. The textile product (10, 31, 43) is made from or comprising textile including near-infrared, NIR, absorbing pigments. It supports and/or partially covers the human subject while skin detection and/or detection/monitoring vital signs of the human subject is carried out. A increased contrast between the textile product and skin in the NIR wavelength range is thus achieved.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image former to form an image on a sheet based on an image forming condition for adjusting a position of the image on the sheet, a heater to fix the image on the sheet, and an image reader to read the image on the sheet, the image reader being arranged downstream from the heater in a conveyance direction in which the sheet is conveyed. A processor controls the image former to form an image including a mark on a sheet, controls the image reader to read the mark, generates the image forming condition based on a reading result of the mark by the image reader, and controls to determine, in a case where a second image including the mark is formed by the image former after the first image including the mark is formed by the image former, whether to form a chart including the mark on the sheet before the second image is formed based on an elapsed time after forming the first image.
Abstract: Systems and methods for application of cosmetic designs are described. In an embodiment, the system includes a visible light mirror, comprising a first portion being at least partially transparent to visible light; a camera, optically coupled with the visible light mirror to receive visible light via the first portion; an illumination source, physically coupled with the visible light mirror and configured to emit a plurality of discrete wavelength channels; and a computer system, electronically coupled with the camera and the illumination source, and comprising one or more processors and a non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform one or more methods of the present disclosure.
Abstract: Postal, package, and grocery deliveries are performed routinely everywhere around the world. Currently, the delivery truck drives slowly, and the postman or delivery man goes from one house to another. The postman already has a box that he carries with the sorted letters for a few of the contiguous houses, stops the truck, and walks to the different houses in the bunch, and then moves the truck and goes to the next bunch of houses. In this invention, the package delivery truck will automatically follow the mailman while still staying close to the curb to minimize traffic issues. Here, the autonomous package or delivery truck could actually go in front of the mailman to look for a good spot for the next cluster, or can wait for the mailman that is close to the last house of the current cluster, pick him up, and drop off at the center of the next cluster, or at the first house of the next cluster. In addition, there are robots that replace the function of the human (mailman or grocery delivery man).

Abstract: The present technology is to provide an image sensor capable of enhancing the security of biometric information and lowering the risk of information leakage. An image sensor 10 includes: a biometric information acquisition unit 102 that acquires biometric information; a storage unit 14 that stores reference information to be compared with the biometric information; and a biometric authentication unit 104 that performs biometric authentication by comparing the biometric information with the reference information. The image sensor 10 further includes an encryption processing unit 105 that encrypts biometric authentication information that authenticates a living organism.

Abstract: Then image reading device includes a transparent document table, a frame, a reading unit, a moving mechanism, a white reference member, and a controller. The frame is provided around a peripheral of the document table. The white reference member is provided on the frame adjacent to the document table in the sub scanning direction and has a length in the main scanning direction longer than the document table. The reading unit includes a first reading part which reads an area corresponding to the document table and a second reading part which reads an area corresponding to the frame. Abstract: In various embodiments, methods and systems for implementing a media management system, for video data processing and adaptation data generation, are provided. At a high level, a video data processing engine relies on different types of video data properties and additional auxiliary data resources to perform video optical character recognition operations for recognizing characters in video data. In operation, video data is accessed to identify recognized characters. A video OCR operation to perform on the video data for character recognition is determined from video character processing and video auxiliary data processing. Video auxiliary data processing includes processing an auxiliary reference object; the auxiliary reference object is an indirect reference object that is a derived input element used as a factor in determining the recognized characters. The video data is processed based on the video OCR operation and based on processing the video data, at least one recognized character is communicated.

The system includes an interface configured to receive as input an original image and a background image, and a processing device in communication with the interface. The processing device is configured to process the original image using a neural network to detect one or more objects in the original image, generate a neural network mask of the original image for the one or more objects in the original image, generate a filtered original image including the original image without the one or more objects, generate a modulated background image including a replacement background based on the neural network mask, and generate a combined image including the filtered original image combined with the modulated background image.

Abstract: A method and analysis devices for classifying tissue samples are provided. In the method, annotated training data is generated from a known positive tissue sample and a known negative tissue sample from a patient, and the annotated training data is then used to train an automatic classifier patient-specifically. To delimit an affected tissue region of the patient, then, unknown tissue samples from the same patient are classified by the automatic classifier trained for the patient.
