  • Patent number: 9479990
Abstract: Embodiments of a wireless roaming management system are disclosed, wherein the system is configured to manage roaming of a client device across access points. The system includes processor(s) and memory for storing signal strength data for access points operating on a local area network. In one embodiment, the system is configured to transfer a client device from one access point to another. For example, in response to receiving, from a source access point, a request for a roaming calculation for a client device connected to the source access point, the system can determine a target access point to transfer the client device based on the stored signal strength data and the roaming calculation. • Patent number: 9462593
Abstract: A framework for enabling a user equipment (UE) to apply interference suppression processing during network conditions that are favorable to interference suppression or that are known is provided. The framework includes an interference suppression (IS) time and frequency (time/frequency) zone, which can be scheduled by a serving base station and signaled to the UE. In an embodiment, the serving base station coordinates with the interfering base station(s) to create a network condition favorable to interference suppression at the UE during the IS time/frequency zone. In another embodiment, the serving base station opportunistically schedules the IS time/frequency zone for the UE whenever it determines favorable transmission parameters being used or scheduled for use by the interfering base station(s). The UE applies interference suppression processing within the IS time/frequency zone, thereby improving receiver performance.

  • Patent number: 9397946
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for forwarding traffic to clusters of nodes. A system can group nodes in a network fabric into a cluster of nodes, and generate respective hash buckets in the network fabric for the nodes, each respective hash bucket being generated based on a hash function applied to a subset of packet header fields. Next, the system receives a packet associated with a service provided by a node in the cluster, and assigns the packet to a hash bucket from the respective hash buckets based on a comparison of a hash value associated with the packet and hash values associated with the respective hash buckets. The system then selects a node in the cluster to service the packet, the node being selected based on the hash bucket assigned to the packet, the hash bucket being associated with the node.

  • Patent number: 9391667
Abstract: Interference cancellation techniques may be implemented in a radio transceiver configured to transmit a radio-frequency transmit signal at a transmit frequency and having two or more local oscillators operative to simultaneously generate local oscillator signals, at corresponding local oscillator frequencies, for simultaneously down-converting two or more corresponding received radio-frequency signals. An example method begins with identifying one or more self-interfering frequencies, based on the local oscillator frequencies and the transmit frequency. A baseband cancellation signal is then generated by weighting and frequency-shifting a baseband representation of the transmit signal, based on the identified self-interfering frequencies. The baseband cancellation signal is then combined with a down-converted received signal, to obtain an interference-reduced baseband signal.

  • Patent number: 9386480
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for enabling a mesh network node to switch from a base station role to a user equipment role relative to a second mesh network node, and vice versa. By switching roles in this manner, the mesh network node may be able to benefit from increased uplink or downlink speed in the new role. This role reversal technique is particularly useful when using wireless protocols such as LTE that are asymmetric and allow differing throughput on uplink and downlink connections. Methods for determining whether to perform role reversal are disclosed, and methods for using role reversal in mesh networks comprising greater than two nodes are also disclosed.
