  • Patent number: 4492320
Abstract: A cylinder extends into a container containing fluid to be dispensed and includes a pressure accumulating valve at the internal end. A piston sliding in the cylinder includes an air suction valve at the internal end and a pressure chamber is formed between the piston and the cylinder. An elastic piece is axially flexible and is attached to the bottom of the piston. The air suction valve has an axially flexible valve body. A stem fixed at one end to the bottom of the elastic piece is extended into the piston at the other end, and has a pushing part at the other end to release the air suction valve from the valve seat by contacting the valve body when the elastic piece is moved toward the air suction valve.

  • Patent number: 4487337
Abstract: The hoppers (2) containing the powder products have a parallelepiped shape and are mounted side by side so that they can be moved by sliding on a slideway support (3). They are maintained in position by locking tabs (6). A plate forming a pan (38) is also mounted so as to be moved by sliding on horizontal slideways. The filling, and also the servicing and cleaning of the machine are thus made much easier.

  • Patent number: 4483466
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically operating the discharge valve of a pressure container includes a drive shaft driven by an electric motor controlled by a timing device, the shaft being drivingly connected by a belt to a speed reduction unit having a plurality of intermeshing toothed wheels, the last of the toothed wheels having an eccentric which co-operates with a roller provided on one arm of a pivoted elbow lever. Such arm is connected to a spring which urges the lever towards a position where the free end of its other arm presses on the nozzle of a container to actuate such nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4479593
Abstract: A manually-operated pump dispenser for dispensing liquids from a container. The dispenser includes a one-piece housing coupled to the container, a dip tube extending from the housing into the container, a one-piece pump member which is slidably supported in the housing and which has a trigger extending therefrom and a nozzle member at the end, a pair of one-way valves supported by the housing and pump member, a one-piece, plastic tubular member which engages the housing and pump member and forms a part of at least one of the one-way valves in the dispenser, and a spring engaging a portion of the pump member and the tubular member for biasing the pump member away from the housing. In a first embodiment, the tubular member forms a part of each of the one-way valves, and in a second embodiment, it forms a part of the inboard one-way valve. In this second embodiment, the outboard valve is formed by the nozzle member and the pump member, both being formed of plastic.

  • Patent number: 4477002
Abstract: A cam-advance, thread-retract dispensing stopper cap construction of unusually short axial dimension, comprising a body portion having annular walls with a discharge passage extending through it, and a captive screw cap movable axially on the body portion between sealing and dispensing positions. Both the screw cap and the body portion have cooperable screw threads which are operable in a screwing-down direction only. The body portion has a stopper plug which is carried in the discharge passage by means of multiple webs, and which is adapted to be received in a discharge orifice of the screw cap when the latter is disposed in the sealing or fully screwed-down position. An annular space is defined between the walls of the body portion and the stopper plug, and contains a curved cam track on which a depending cam follower lug of the screw cap can ride as the latter is unscrewed, thereby to positively force the cap open.

  • Patent number: 4466555
Abstract: A jig comprises a housing which has a front end and a storage channel. A split collet and an elongated slotted bar attached thereto are slideably moveable into and out of the housing. The jig further has an elongated bolt for transporting individual blanks from the storage channel to the front end of the housing. Respective first and second pistons located inside the housing are provided for operating the split collet and the elongated bolt. The split collet is movably received within the housing and is not formed by a section thereof.
