  • Patent number: 9234331
Abstract: An articulation control system for a machine may include an actual steering sensor configured to provide a signal indicative of an actual steering angle, a timer configured to provide a signal indicative of an elapsed predetermined period of time, and a controller in communication with the actual steering sensor and the timer. The controller may be configured to regulate automatic articulation to zero based on signals received from the actual steering sensor and the timer.

  • Patent number: 8090529
Abstract: In existing moving object tracking, there is a great communication load between a terminal and a platform, because the terminal should report its location to the platform every second or every minute and the platform should frequently process the location form the terminal. It is possible to reduce the great communication load on the server, by calculating an error between the current GPS location and the estimated location at a specific time on the basis of the estimated arrival time of the moving object. It allows that the terminal report its location to the server only when the error between current GPS location and the estimated location is greater than a predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 5954773
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring and recording the number of miles that a vehicle has traveled within each of a set of geographic entities. Current vehicle location data points are compared to entity boundary line approximations to determine which of a set of entities the location point falls within. Once an entity has been confirmed for a given location point obtained, the incremental mileage traveled by the vehicle since the previous location point was obtained is added to an accumulated mileage value for that entity.

  • Patent number: 5805993
Abstract: A cell level change control device for cellular mobile radio networks with more than one level of cells includes means for comparing the value of a parameter representative of the speed of a mobile station with a threshold in order to decide if it is necessary to command a cell level change when the mobile station is served by a lower level cell contained in a higher level cell or when a mobile station is served by a higher level cell and it is determined that the lower level cell contained in that higher level cell constitutes the best cell. The device determines the load of the higher level cell and varies the threshold in accordance with the load.
