  • Patent number: 7219159
Abstract: A searching method of a plurality of routes includes the steps of defining, as an X direction, one direction of a bidirectional transmission line connected to each of the plurality of nodes, and another direction as a Y direction; respecifying an initial node and a terminal node; searching a first shortest route extending from the specified initial node to the specified terminal node; searching a second shortest route for nodes connected to another transmission line in the X direction; searching a third shortest route extending from the specified initial node to the specified terminal node; searching a fourth shortest route for nodes connected to another transmission line in the Y direction; comparing the sum of the X group first route and second route with the sum of the Y group first route and second route; and determining the group having a smaller sum as an optimal route in the comparison.

  • Patent number: 7218643
Abstract: A relay device and a communication device capable of realizing the contents protection procedure between devices that are not connected to the same network are disclosed. A relay device and a communication device are so configured that between a device/service/sub-unit on the second network and a device on the first network which are a pair that is carrying out transmission or reception of contents to be protected, a device on the first network or a device/service/sub-unit on the second network can carry out the contents protection procedure while recognizing the target of the contents protection procedure as the relay device, so that there is no need for a device on the first network or a device/service/sub-unit on the second network to account for the other network that is connected via the relay device.

  • Patent number: 7181517
Abstract: The modular master control unit of the telecommunications power system communicates via a data bus with the associated modular rectifier units, distribution unit(s) and battery connection unit(s) to collect operating state information from the neuron processors of those units and store that information in a database. The master control unit also controls the operation of the associated modular units by supplying operating state information, based on values stored in the database. The user interface manager module provides local user interface control over the system by allowing the user through a local display screen and touch pad to read from and write to the database. By downloading an applet to a remote computer running a web browser, the user interface manager allows users at remote locations to perform the same control and monitor functions as a user at the local site. The applet runs within the standard browser and communicates with the user interface manager using TCP/IP protocol.

  • Patent number: 7130925
Abstract: An UPnP control point is connected to an IEEE802 network, and 1394 equipment is connected to an IEEE1394 network. The IEEE802 network and the IEEE1394 network are connected to each other through an UPnP device functioning as a bridge. The UPnP device receives from a general bus input plug a packet transmitted from the UPnP control point, converts it to a format of the IEEE1394 network, and transmits it from an output plug through the IEEE1394 network to the 1394 equipment. The UPnP device stores the association relationship of the plugs.

  • Patent number: 7111052
Abstract: An access communication system provides access between a user system and a plurality of communication networks. The plurality of communication networks provide services to a user in the user system. An access communication system includes a database system and an access server that is connected to the user system and the plurality of communication networks. The access server receives an alias selection from a user for a network shell that includes alias selections associated with actions. The access server then processes the alias selection to execute an action associated with the alias selection.

  • Patent number: 7082454
Abstract: A dynamic content caching framework that encodes dynamically created documents with a filename that is derived from the state information describing the contents of the document, advantageously allows for the dynamically created documents to be cached and reused, thereby reducing server computation, and allowing more users to utilize a particular web site. A file cache management system manages files that can be provided by a web server computer system to a client computer system. Parameters selected by a user viewing a web page define a presentation state that describes, and is used to produce, a subsequent web page. The presentation state is processed using a one-way hashing function to form a hash value, or signature, for that presentation state which is then used to identify the file in which presentation information for the presentation state is stored. When another user chooses the same presentation state, the existing file having presentation information can be identified quickly and reused.

  • Patent number: 7065584
Abstract: A method for mapping a network, in accordance with the present invention, includes providing distance measurements between tracers in the network, determining routes along which the distance measurements are made, and creating a system of equations which links the distance measurements between the nodes with a sum of the delays between the nodes which comprise the routes. Additional information is extracted about distances of subpaths of the routes to provide additional details to a map of the network. The additional information provides a capability of estimation of distances between nodes without tracers.

  • Patent number: 7058728
Abstract: A method and apparatus for initiating compression of IP headers of a stream of packets to be sent from a source apparatus to a destination apparatus. IP header compression is initiated by changing the destination address of the IP header of a full header packet to identify the address of a node, such as a router, which serves as an interface to the destination apparatus, and passing the context identifier (CID) and generation fields in a routing header which immediately follows or is inserted to immediately follow the IP header.

  • Patent number: 6985966
Abstract: Media streams are provided from a server computer to client computers in a network system. The media streams are monitored and the streams becoming globally unsynchronized is detected. When the streams become unsynchronized, action is taken to resynchronize the streams, such as by altering the presentation timeline of at least one of the media streams.

  • Patent number: 6976083
Abstract: An apparatus for providing direct data processing access in a network computing system environment. The system environment has a main storage which can be connected to one or more application servers and is in processing communication with an interface element. The interface element has at least one adapter and can be connected to one or more application user(s). One or more queues are established in the main storage that can handle data without causing interrupts in the running programs. Incoming data is received using the adapter and as data is received or modified, the status of the network computing system will be updated to reflect the new data or change. Data is then processed in the main storage after interrogating the multiple existing queues in the main storage simultaneously and forwarding them in turn to their appropriate destination or application server after a determination has been made by interrogating these queues.
