  • Patent number: 11593122
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a change to a display resolution (or other display configuration) to be used at a physical device may be effectuated without the need to reboot a virtual device associated with the physical device. In some embodiments, a display resolution for a portion of a virtual device user interface of a virtual device is determined based on display configuration information corresponding to a first physical device (e.g., a display resolution of the first physical device). The portion of the virtual device user interface is configured based on the determined display resolution, and the configured portion is sent to the first physical device. In some embodiments, in response to obtaining second display configuration information from a second physical device, the portion of the virtual device user interface is resized (e.g., without rebooting the virtual device), and the resized portion is sent to the second physical device.

  • Patent number: 11561624
Abstract: For mechanical keyboards or other input devices with individual mechanical key buttons, and particularly for compact keyboards used for laptops and other such devices, the size of the up and down arrow keys is usually half the size of most other keys on the keyboard. For example, each letter key on a physical keyboard is typically double the size of each of the up and down arrow keys on that same keyboard. Due to the smaller physical size of the up and down arrow keys, a modified mechanical configuration is used which results in a variation in the tactile feel of the various buttons of the keyboard for a user. The present disclosure discloses a capacitive touch enabled key with a corresponding tactile button to allow the key to represent multiple different inputs while also maintaining a same tactile response as other single input keys of the input device.

  • Patent number: 11545071
Abstract: A display device includes a controller, a display processor, a resolution converter, and a display screen. The controller, in response to first request of setting a current signal source type to a first signal source type which is a type of a signal source for providing display data having a target resolution and a first definition, generates and transmits a first control signal corresponding to the first request. The display processor receives and forwards the first control signal from the controller. The resolution converter converts the initial display data into first display data having a target resolution and a first definition in response to the first control signal, and transmits the first display data to the display processor. The target resolution is greater than the initial resolution. The first definition is greater than a definition of display data obtained by stretching the initial display data and having the target resolution.

  • Patent number: 11513810
Abstract: A method of configuring a display device interface (DDI) detects a trigger signal, generated by a display device. If the trigger signal is associated with a power on event, a full configuration of the DDI is performed, including loading display device capability information provided by the display device into DDI configuration registers and setting one or more DDI configuration parameters accordingly. If the trigger signal is associated with resume event, rather than a power on event, a modified fast link resume operation may be performed to route the trigger signal to a controller configured to explicitly write display device capability information to the appropriate DDI configuration registers before setting the corresponding DDI configuration parameter accordingly. The DDI may include a re-timer, between the DDI source and sink, configured to snoop the explicit write transaction such that the re-timer configuration is also updated.
