  • Patent number: 11700165
Abstract: A network control device includes a storage and a processor. The storage stores an identifying value and a severity value for each of network elements. The identifying values are hierarchized based on inclusion relationships between the network elements. The severity values respectively indicate a severity in sharing a risk of a failure in the network elements. When first and second paths are designated, the processor detects, for each of a plurality of target identifying values corresponding to a plurality of network elements implementing the first path, a longest matched identifying value having a longest region matching the target identifying value from among a plurality of identifying values corresponding to a plurality of network elements implementing the second path. The processor calculates a sum of severity values corresponding to the detected longest matched identifying values, and evaluates the second path for the first path based on the sum.

  • Patent number: 11671815
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure to techniques for sidelink discovery in millimeter wave (e.g., Frequency Range 2 (FR2), or 24.25 GHz to 52.6 GHz) bands. For example, the disclosed techniques provides generating a sidelink discovery message including device information of the UE and non-device information. The sidelink discovery message is outputted for transmission. A sidelink connection with a receiver (Rx) UE can then be established after the output of the sidelink discovery message. Very often, beam training is required for FR2 communications. After beam sweep, the transmitter (Tx) UE and the Rx UE become aware of the primary beam directions and need to discover each other on a device level, by associating a beam pair link to a peer UE. As FR2 link often have high overhead to establish and maintain, the disclosed techniques enables device level and service level discovery using the discover message.

  • Patent number: 11672007
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A UE may transmit a random-access message to a base station and receive at least a control channel portion of a response to the random-access message from the base station, where the response may also include a data channel portion. Using the techniques described herein, the UE may then manage flow control feedback reporting to the base station based on whether the data channel portion includes a radio resource control (RRC) message. For instance, the UE may report an acknowledgment for the response if the data channel portion does not include an RRC message and a TA timer at the UE is running (e.g., regardless of whether the UE is able to or attempts to decode the data channel portion, since the data channel portion may only include TA information which may not be useful to the UE).

  • Patent number: 11665619
Abstract: The present disclosure provides data and connectivity management systems and methods. A router application and/or service endpoint resolver in communication with a telematics control unit (TCU) may support devices and enable content, video or music streaming. In an illustrative embodiment, the router application and/or service endpoint resolver may receive a data access request to a resource identifier. A data plan associated with the vehicle may be accessed. In turn, a determination may be made on whether the resource identifier is within a preset list of resource identifiers defined by the data plan. The request to the resource identifier may be processed when the resource identifier is within the preset list of resource identifiers defined by the data plan. When no data plan exists for the vehicle or the resource identifier is not in the preset list, denial of the request may be made.

  • Patent number: 11647394
Abstract: A wireless communication system using wireless LAN channels for wireless communication is disclosed, comprising: master access point, slave access points, and computing unit. First, the master access point creates a collision record table and a usage time record table. After that, the master access point updates the collision record table and usage time record table based on the usage information, and transmits the collision record table and usage time record table to the slave access points. The computing unit generates the channel collision probability through the number of collisions, and calculates the usage weight of the dynamic frequency selection channel through the channel collision probability. Finally, the wireless communication system automatically selects the wireless LAN channels of the master access point and the slave access points according to the usage weight and usage time record table. As such, the wireless communication system has high efficiency and low delay.

  • Patent number: 11539565
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for reducing PAPR in wireless communications. Some implementations more specifically relate to suppressing the amplitudes of a data signal that exceed a threshold amplitude level. The data signal may represent transmit (TX) data associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. In some implementations, a transmitting device may detect one or more peaks associated with the data signal. The transmitting device may reduce the amplitudes of the samples associated with the detected peaks to produce the amplitude-suppressed data signal. The transmitting device may further generate peak suppression information indicating the amplitudes of one or more of the samples associated with the peaks. In response to receiving a NACK message, the transmitting device may transmit, to the receiving device, the peak suppression information, one or more coded bits representing the TX data (associated with the HARQ process), or any combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 11523340
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for reducing power consumption in a receiver of a time slotted communication system. An RF front end has power applied after the start of a preamble or after the start of a header, or upon the start of a packet payload based on connection status, signal level, and interference level. Where the signal level is constant, the communication system is in a connected state, and the interference level is low, the system bypasses packet header destination address matching, or optionally, uses only the least significant bits of the header destination address for matching purposes.

  • Patent number: 11496932
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and apparatuses for controlling commissioning and/or control of a combo network device with dual connectivity in a wireless network by using a smart device. In a factory new state, the combo network device has not yet joined any wireless network by its first connectivity (e.g. Zigbee) and thus broadcasts a beacon with beacon information to solicit a connection from the smart device by its second connectivity (e.g. BLE). If the combo network device joins a wireless network, it enters an associated state in which the beacon information will now contain an identification of the wireless network. Thus, the beacon information changes based on the status of the combo network device and supports a handover process for an installer or controller.

  • Patent number: 11445421
Abstract: A wireless communication network to serve a wireless User Equipment (UE) with a wireless communication service over multiple wireless communication links. The wireless communication network comprises a primary access node, a first support access node, and a second support access node. The primary access node receives signal metrics for the support access nodes from the wireless UE, determines add thresholds for the support access nodes based on the amount of active UEs served by the primary access node, and converts the signal metrics for the support access nodes into add values for the support access nodes. When the add values are greater than the add thresholds, the primary access node signals the corresponding ones of the support access nodes to serve the wireless UE. The corresponding ones of the support access nodes exchange user data with the wireless UE.
