  • Patent number: 10173013
Abstract: Laminated gasket free from liquid drug leakage. A gasket (13) for a medical syringe, with main body (14) made of elastic material, and film (15) provided on a surface of main body (14). Gasket (13) has a circumferential surface portion (17) for contact with an inner peripheral surface of a syringe barrel (11) and an annular groove (22) formed circumferentially in a surface portion of the film in the circumferential surface portion thereof. Annular groove (22) has outer edge portions (24) provided along opposite edges (23) thereof as projecting from an unprocessed surface portion of the film. Annular groove (22) has a groove formation start point and a groove formation end point connected to each other in a groove connection region. Outer edge portions (24) provided along the opposite edges of the annular groove have a maximum-to-minimum height difference of ?5 ?m in the groove connection region.

  • Patent number: 10099013
Abstract: Provided is a manual drive unit for use with a cassette unit comprising a cassette unit housing containing there within a syringe comprising a barrel for containing a volume of a liquid drug formulation; a hollow needle at a front end of the barrel, the hollow needle defining a needle tip for dispensing of the liquid drug formulation; and a plunger that is axially movable within the barrel. The manual drive unit comprises a manual drive unit housing defining a docking cavity and a needle delivery aperture, wherein said docking cavity is arranged for docking receipt of the cassette unit at a docking position; and received by the manual drive unit housing and axially movable relative thereto, a manually operable drive transfer element for transferring axial drive to the plunger of the syringe for moving the plunger into the barrel of the syringe to eject at least part of the volume of liquid drug formulation.

  • Patent number: 10092733
Abstract: A balloon catheter has a balloon and an outer shaft fixed to a proximal end of the balloon. Each of the proximal end of the balloon and a distal end of the outer shaft has an inner projection extending in an axial direction of the balloon catheter, an outer projection extending in the axial direction, and a gap formed between the inner projection and the outer projection. At a fixing part, the inner projection of the balloon or the outer projection of the balloon is disposed in the gap of the outer shaft, and the inner projection of the outer shaft or the outer projection of the outer shaft is disposed in the gap of the balloon. The balloon catheter has improved fixing strength between the balloon and the outer shaft without increasing an outer diameter of the fixing part between the balloon and the outer shaft.

  • Patent number: 10022522
Abstract: A balloon catheter includes an inner shaft with a distal variant portion and a proximal variant portion. A bulged portion is provided at the distal end of a reinforcement member, and the bulged portion is configured to move in an axial direction between the distal variant portion and the proximal variant portion. Thus, the balloon catheter may smoothly pass through a curved blood vessel with improved kink resistance of the reinforcement member.

  • Patent number: 9844633
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a syringe which is capable of preventing an accident such that a patient inadvertently sticks her/his hand with an injection needle when improperly performing a needle retracting operation. A sleeve (10) is fitted around a syringe barrel (2) so as to be axially movable from an administration position such that the injection needle (5) projects to a distill side to an accommodation position such that the injection needle (5) is accommodated. A coil spring (16) for biasing the sleeve (10) toward the accommodation position is provided between the sleeve (10) and the syringe barrel (2), and is held in a compressed state in a spring holder (17). The spring holder (17) is disposed in association with the syringe barrel (2) so as to release the coil spring by further pushing the syringe barrel (2) to the distal side after completion of the administration of a liquid drug.
