  • Patent number: 4750558
Abstract: A well bore cleaning tool comprises a plurality of collars which slip onto a pipe casing without welding, and can be securedly attached thereto using any conventional securing means, such as set screws. The collars are interconnected with a cable, disposed longitudinally on one side of the casing, substantially in a straight line. The well bore cleaning tool has utility in bore holes wherein there is a limited clearance or amount of space in the annulus (that is, the region between the exterior of the casing and the wall of the bore hole).

  • Patent number: 4735266
Abstract: A plurality of packing elements are mounted in vertically spaced relationship on a tubing string with the spacing of the elements corresponding generally to the spacing of a plurality of sets of perforations in a well conduit. The lowermost packing unit is provided with radially expanding locking elements which engage a locking groove provided in the well conduit. All packing units incorporate expandable elastomeric sealing members and are set by the application of tension to the tubing string and are unset by the subsequent application of a higher degree of tension to the tubing string.

  • Patent number: 4705114
Abstract: A subsea system for transmitting a multiphase flow of hydrocarbons produced from a subsea well positioned remotely from fluid storing and treating facilities. The system includes a subsea well template which encloses a plurality of well heads. A composite hydrocarbon flow is manifolded from the respective wells and conducted to a fluid separator which causes the composite stream to separate into discrete liquid and vaporous flows. The latter are then conducted through a multi-conductor riser to the treating and storage facility.

  • Patent number: 4678035
Abstract: In the representative embodiments of the new and improved methods and apparatus disclosed herein, a full-bore valve is cooperatively arranged to be tandemly coupled in a typical production string including a string of production pipe that is coupled to a packer isolating a lower well bore interval. A wireline measuring tool is lowered into the production string to land the tool in a measuring station defined therein above the valve. An anchor on the tool is extended to secure the testing tool in the measuring station. A mechanism is also provided on the testing tool for releasably engaging the actuator for the full-opening valve to open and close the valve by successive upward and downward movements of the tool suspension cable. A fluid-testing device is arranged on the testing tool for making successive measurements of one of more characteristics of the connate fluids in the well bore as the valve is successively opened and closed by the upward and downward movements of the cable.
