    Abstract: A multilayer mirror comprises a reflector section including a plurality of alternating layers of a high index material and a low index material, and a filter section over the reflector section. The filter section comprises a first filter layer including a low index material on a layer of high index material of the reflector section; a second filter layer on the first filter layer, the second filter layer comprising a high index material that is different than the high index material in the reflector section; and a third filter layer on the second filter layer, the third filter layer comprising a low index material. Each filter layer has an optical thickness greater than or equal to the optical thickness of each layer of the alternating layers. The filter section substantially blocks ultraviolet (UV) energy, thereby preventing UV energy from substantially impinging on the high index material of the reflector section.

    Abstract: A dispersion measurement apparatus includes a pulse forming unit, a correlation optical system, a beam splitter, an operation unit, an imaging unit, a spatial filter unit, and a photodetector. The pulse forming unit forms a light pulse train including light pulses having time differences and different center wavelengths. The beam splitter branches the light pulse train passed through a measurement object. The imaging unit disperses one light pulse train and images each light pulse. The spatial filter unit extracts light of a partial region of the other light pulse train. The correlation optical system outputs correlation light including a cross-correlation or an autocorrelation of the extracted light. The photodetector detects a temporal waveform of the correlation light. The operation unit estimates a wavelength dispersion amount in the measurement object based on a feature value of the temporal waveform.

    Abstract: An in-situ detection device for detecting water and fertilizer content in a crop cultivation substrate and a detection method thereof are provided. The in-situ detection device includes a water and fertilizer in-situ collector and a spectrum analysis device. The water and fertilizer in-situ collector that is pre-buried in the cultivation substrate is used to collect water and fertilizer in the cultivation substrate in real time to obtain a measurement sample. The spectral analysis device is used to emit a laser with a specific wavelength to detect and analyze content of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the measurement sample collected by the water and fertilizer in-situ collector; and a continuous sampling system for continuously transporting the measurement sample is provided between the water and fertilizer in-situ collector and the spectrum analysis device.

    Abstract: A method and a sensor for checking documents are provided in which the same detector is used for a remission measurement and a luminescence measurement of the value document. The remission measurement value being detected during the illumination of the value document with an excitation light used for luminescence excitation, and the luminescence measurement value after switching off the illumination. In order to reduce a distortion of the remission measurement value by the luminescence, a spectral detection filter is incorporated into the detection ray path, which has a transmission of at least 0.5% in the spectral region of the excitation light. The increased transmission of the spectral detection filter achieves that the excitation intensity impinging on the detector far exceeds the luminescence intensity occurring simultaneously with the excitation and thus reduces the mentioned distortion.
