Abstract: A systems for optimizing a user interface includes a host service/device coupled to two databases. One database stores historical information of user interaction(s) with the interface and the another stores predefined query strings that when submitted to the first database obtain statistically testable datasets. As a result of this construction, a user of the optimization system is able to submit a request to the host service/device that includes (1) a selected user interface variation and (2) a selected user interaction goal. In response, the optimization system accesses the second database to retrieve a set of queries related to the variation and a set of queries related to the goal. Thereafter, the query sets can be submitted to the first database to obtain two testable datasets (e.g., a control set and a variant set) for automatic statistical analysis.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a message including a plurality of characters may be obtained from an application hosted on a physical client device and a first position of a user interaction with a user interface accessed via the application may be obtained, where the user interface displays the message. A second position within the message may be determined based on the first position. A first and second set of characters may be extracted from the message based on the second position, such that (i) a first number of characters prior to the second position within the message is extracted for the first set of characters and (ii) a second number of characters subsequent to the second position within the message is extracted for the second set of characters. The first and second set of characters may be sent to the physical client device.

Abstract: Digital tutorial generation techniques and systems are described in which a digital tutorial is generated automatically and without user intervention. History data is generated describing a sequence of user inputs provided as part of user interaction with an application and audio data is received capturing user utterances, e.g., speech, from a microphone of the computing device. A step-identification module of the tutorial generation system identifies a plurality of tutorial steps based on a sequence of user inputs described by the history data. A segmentation module of the tutorial generation system then generates a plurality of audio segments from the audio data corresponding to respective ones of the plurality of tutorial steps. The digital tutorial is then generated by a synchronization module of the tutorial generation system by synchronizing the plurality of audio segments as part of the plurality of tutorial steps, which is then output.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for recommending a sticker set. An apparatus for recommending a sticker set includes interface circuitry and processing circuitry. When the interface circuitry receives a sticker recommendation request from a terminal, the processing circuitry determines a historical sticker set that includes a sticker previously sent by a user of the terminal device, and at least one recommendable sticker set not including the historical sticker set. Then the processing circuitry determines a recommendation index for each of the at least one recommendable sticker set according to an emotion feature of the historical sticker set and an emotion feature of the respective recommendable sticker set. According to the recommendation index for each of the at least one recommendable sticker set, the interface circuitry sends a sticker set recommendation for one or more of the at least one recommendable sticker set to the terminal device.

The sticker recommendation method includes obtaining a use record of each group of stickers used by a user, each group of stickers corresponding to at least one image style obtaining an uncorrected recommendation index of a specified sticker, and obtaining an image style of the specified sticker, correcting the uncorrected recommendation index according to the use record, the image style of each group of stickers, and the image style of the specified sticker, and recommending the specified sticker to the user when the corrected recommendation index satisfies a recommendation condition.
