  • Patent number: 7322112
Abstract: A kitchen slicer for cutting items to be cut such as fruit, vegetables etc. is proposed, with a base, to which a blade is fixed, which is arranged on an edge of a discharge plate, and an exchangeable insert, which can be fixed to the base in different positions for setting different cutting thicknesses. The insert forms a guide surface on which the items to be cut can be moved toward the blade. The different positions including a safety position in which an end side of the insert is arranged adjacent to the blade, in particular in such a way that the guide surface lies at the level of the blade or above it. In this connection, the insert comprises on its rear end side at least one projection which lies below the blade in the safety position.

  • Patent number: 7275321
Abstract: A folding knife assembly includes a knife handle, a knife body, and a brake portion, wherein the knife body can be turned into or out of the knife handle, and the brake portion is movably coupled to a pivotal position of the knife handle and the knife body. If the knife body is folded completely into the knife handle, an end of a resilient element will press precisely on the periphery of the brake portion, such that the resilient element produces a torque to turn the brake portion into the knife handle. If the knife body is turned gradually out from the knife handle, the resilient element will produce a torque to turn the knife body out from the knife handle, and the knife body will be popped out automatically from the knife handle, so as to effectively prevent the knife body from being popped out accidentally by vibrations.

  • Patent number: 7275322
Abstract: There is disclosed a power tool comprising a housing (3), a motor provided in the housing and having a rotary output shaft, a reciprocating output shaft adapted to be caused by the motor to execute reciprocating motion to actuate a blade assembly, and a handle assembly (2, 102) comprising a front handle (6, 106) and a rear handle (7, 107) integral with the front handle. The handle assembly (2, 102) is pivotably mounted to the housing of the power tool and is adapted to be fixed in a plurality of orientations relative to the housing. By providing a handle assembly with integrally formed front and rear handles that is pivotable relative to the body of the power tool, this provides the advantage of avoiding the need for a user to hold the tool upside down when using the blade assembly to perform high-up horizontal cutting, instead of holding the tool above the user's head.

  • Patent number: 7269902
Abstract: A shaving apparatus has shaving heads (3) each having an internal cutting member (6) and an associated external cutting member (4); and a drive structure (1) coupled to each of the internal cutting members (6). The external cutting members (4) are each rotatable about an axis of rotation (15) between different shaving positions. The shaving face of each head includes a first shaving field (7) for cutting short hair and a second shaving field (8) for cutting long hair. The shaving fields (7, 8) extend through different segment of the shaving face. For effecting rotation of the external cutting members (4) between the shaving positions, a control member (11) is arranged between the shaving heads (3) and engages the external cutting members (4) of the shaving heads (3) for simultaneously controlling the rotation of the external cutting members (4) of the shaving heads (3).

  • Patent number: 7219435
Abstract: Fanned air generated by a fan to cool a motor is discharged from a housing through fanned air discharge ports toward an opening formed in a base. The fanned air discharged toward the opening is then introduced into a groove in fluid communication with the opening. The groove is formed in a bottom surface of the base and has an open side at a front side of the base. The fanned air is then discharged from the front side of the base, blowing off saw dust on a cutting object so as to prevent dust from accumulating on a marking line on the cutting object.
