Abstract: An electromagnetic drive device includes a through-hole, through which a rod is received, and the rod includes an outer wall surface that is slidable relative to the through-hole. A clearance, which is measured from the outer wall surface of the rod placed in a maximum projected position to an inner wall surface of the through-hole, is smaller than a clearance, which is measured from the outer wall surface of the rod placed in a maximum retracted position to the inner wall surface. Therefore, a retracting-time clearance becomes relatively large, and thereby a frictional force between the rod and a support tubular portion can be reduced. Furthermore, a projecting-time clearance becomes relatively small, and thereby the amount of swing of a distal end of the rod in a radial direction can be reduced.
Abstract: In a valve apparatus, an annular contact portion made of elastic material is provided on a valve portion of a valve plug. A plurality of annular grooves are formed on a proximal end surface of a valve seat member which abuts against the contact portion. The annular grooves are formed around a communication hole through which fluid flows. The annular grooves have different diameters, and are concentric with one another.
Abstract: A motor-operated valve includes a base portion which is provided at one end of a stator, a linear-motion shaft which is screwed into a rotor and which is supported by the base portion such that the linear-motion shaft can be moved linearly and cannot be rotated, and a valve member which is provided in the linear-motion shaft and which opens and closes the valve port. A first contacting portion on the rotor and a second contacting portion on the stator or an intermediate member disposed between the rotor and the stator, the first and the second contacting portions and being provided in each of the intermediate member or the stator and the rotor, and contacting with each other in the rotation axis direction of the rotor are biased by a rotor biasing means such that they are pressed onto each other.
Abstract: A solenoid proportional valve includes a valve body (12) defining an inlet (14) and an outlet (16) for a fluid flow through the valve body, and an armature (22) that is moveable along a longitudinal axis from a first closed position to a second open position to control the flow of fluid through the valve. The valve further includes a flux can (32) and a solenoid coil (30) positioned within the flux can. When the solenoid coil is energized, a magnetic field causes the armature to move away from the first position against the valve body, thereby opening the valve. The valve further includes a flux washer (28) that acts as a spring pivot for a spring (26) having an outer edge that is secured by the flux washer. When the solenoid coil is energized, the magnetic field causes the armature to move away from the first position against the spring force of the spring, thereby opening the valve.

Abstract: A ram blowout preventer (“BOP”) may be used for sealing about an object positioned in a vertical bore extending through the BOP. The ram BOP includes a body comprising a vertical bore extending through the body and a ram cavity intersecting the bore, a ram assembly movable laterally into and out of the BOP vertical bore and comprising a ram body, and an opposing ram assembly movable laterally into and out of the BOP vertical bore and comprising a ram body and a seal body coupled to the ram body, wherein the seal body comprises a seal configured to seal the entirety of the BOP vertical bore. The seal can be located on the upper and/or lower portion of the seal body to provide for bi-directional sealing across the BOP.

Abstract: A method for controlling a current flowing through a consumer comprises the following steps, which are periodically traversed: determining a dither current based on a dither signal and a definite point in time, wherein the dither signal is determined by a frequency, an amplitude and a signal form and actuating a flow control valve to produce the sum of a target current and the determined dither current by the consumer. Furthermore, the method comprises determining an indication to the current flowing through the consumer; compensating the indication by the factor of the dither current; and providing the indication, wherein the determination of the dither current and the determination of the indication are synchronized with each other in a predetermined way.
