  • Patent number: 11832160
Abstract: A radio communication route enables communication from an originating ground station to a destination ground station via one of multiple randomly orbiting satellites with no active attitude control. The ground stations and satellites include multi-feed parabolic antennas for receiving radio signals from and transmitting radio signals in multiple directions. The satellites store an address of a destination ground station from which an initial information signal is transmitted and antenna information identifying the satellite antenna feed on which the initial information signal was received. Plural satellite antennas transmit linking information identifying the satellite to the originating ground station.

  • Patent number: 11818233
Abstract: Described herein are embodiments for tracking status of switch ports in network switches using portable LED receivers (PLRs). LED data for a switch port may be transmitted from the network switch to a paired PLR. An electronic device, such as a smartphone, may be used to facilitate the pairing process. The electronic device connects to a network switch via an out of band management network like and pairs with a PLR using a management-plane BLE connection. A user may use an application operating in the electronic device to select a switch port of a network switch, logically associate the selected switch port to the PLR. Upon successful pairing, the PLR establishes a connection to the network switch and receive timestamped and sequenced LED data to drive LEDs on the PLR. The PLRs may enable disaggregation of LEDs from switch ports and provide more user flexibility and convenience.

  • Patent number: 11811720
Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein provide a method for efficiently propagating address resolution reply messages. A first router in a first network receives an address resolution request message from a second router in a second network. The first router generates an entry for the address resolution request message and stores the entry in a pending address resolution requests table. When the first router receives a route advertisement, it extracts a network layer address from the route advertisement and determines whether the pending address resolution requests table includes an entry for the network layer address. If so, the router extracts a link layer address from the route advertisement and generates an address resolution reply message comprising the network layer address and the link layer address. The router then transmits the address resolution reply message to the second router.

  • Patent number: 11812372
Abstract: Fifth generation (5G) non-standalone (NSA) radio access system employing virtual fourth generation (4G) master connection to enable dual system data connectivity. The 5G NSA radio access system employs a virtual 4G radio access node (RAN) to provide a logical master data connection to a user mobile communications device, and a 5G RAN to provide an additional, secondary high-speed data plane between the user mobile communications device to a core network. The virtual 4G RAN does not provide an actual 4G radio connection over-the-air to the user mobile communications device. Instead, the signaling transported between the user mobile communications device and the virtual 4G RAN is provided over a non-radio connection, such as an internet protocol (IP) connection. In this manner, the deployment of the 5G NSA radio access system employing the virtual 4G RAN can be achieved without updating existing 4G RANs and/or without deploying a new 4G RAN infrastructure.

  • Patent number: 11799800
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for handling failure at one of several peer centralized components of a logical router. At a first one of the peer centralized components of the logical router, the method detects that a second one of the peer centralized components has failed. In response to the detection, the method automatically identifies a network layer address of the failed second peer. The method assumes responsibility for data traffic to the failed peer by broadcasting a message on a logical switch that connects all of the peer centralized components and a distributed component of the logical router. The message instructs recipients to associate the identified network layer address with a data link layer address of the first peer centralized component.

  • Patent number: 11770357
Abstract: A method for real-time multiparty communications across a social network organized according to a fluid timeline is taught. In the method, a user accesses the social network. The user views a story posted by a first user and favorably reacted to by a second user. The user also likes the story, so the user favorably reacts to the posted story. Since a threshold number of users have favorably reacted to the posted story, a collective network group messaging feature is made available. The user accesses the feature participates in real time in a collective network group messaging session in a virtual room with at least one other user.

  • Patent number: 11762718
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing data transmissions in integrated circuits using a handshake, credit path, and data path. For example, the handshake between transmission and receiving sides can enable information to be passed over a separate path from the data path. Based on a calculated round trip delay, the system can identify the number of top level flops or registers needed in the credit path, which can be the same as the number of top level flops or registers in the data path. The receiving side can calculate the required number of credits per requested virtual channel based on the available queuing resources of the receiving side and the round trip delay of the data path, in order to ensure full bandwidth data streaming on the channel.

  • Patent number: 11758389
Abstract: Provisioning multiple artificial reality devices can be accomplished through network communications between a device distributor, an administration system, a provisioning device, and the artificial reality devices. The device distributor can provide, to the administration system, a list of artificial reality devices corresponding to a particular organization. A provisioning device can sign into an account on the administration system and receive the list. The provisioning device can then scan for wireless connectivity with the listed artificial reality devices and can make a wireless connection with any artificial reality devices that respond and that are on the list. The provisioning device can then send these devices credentials for a local WiFi network. The artificial reality devices can automatically, upon receipt of the credentials, connect to the administration system to obtain the software update and/or the configuration data.
