Abstract: An information processing device is configured to execute a management program and a print server program. The management program determines whether a non-compliant printer is connected to the information processing device, determines whether a print server program is running when the non-compliant printer is connected, starts up the print server program when the print server program is not running, and registers a print server configured by the print server program with an operating system. The print server program receives a print job designating the print server as an output destination, obtains individual print data which is printable by the non-compliant printer, and transmits the obtained individual print data to the non-compliant printer.

Abstract: Provided is an information processing apparatus that automatically controls the execution order of print jobs. For example, the image forming apparatus is an information processing apparatus for processing the print jobs. A time deviation calculation unit sets a window of a specific length in the print queue in which the print jobs are stored. A time deviation calculation unit calculates total print time and deviation of the print time of the print jobs in the window. The print control unit controls the execution order of the print jobs in the window based on the total print time and the deviation calculated by the time deviation calculation unit. The output unit outputs the print jobs in the execution order controlled by the print control unit.

Abstract: A printing method includes a customizing step of receiving a customization instruction of an administrator and customizing a printing screen, a printing step of performing printing in response to reception of a printing start instruction, and a displaying step of displaying the customized printing screen during the printing step, in which in the customizing step, required information is prohibited from being deleted from a display, and optional information is permitted to be deleted from the display.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus according to an aspect of the present disclosure acquires information about a print job generated in a predetermined print queue by a printer driver, and transmits the acquired information about the print job to an external service to aggregate information about print jobs.

Abstract: Methods for identifying and generating a preview set of documents for use with variable data printing operations reduce the number of records that are previewed using filtering criteria. Records to be included in the preview set include text objects having text variables, image objects having image variables, and barcode objects having barcode variables. Records for the preview set also include those defined by rules and associated conditions based on data provided to generate the documents. A better representation of the variable data print job is provided.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for the sending, delivery and receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at a user's site, and a faxing system that may be deployed remotely from the user's site. The fax connector can be accessed at the user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at the user's site communicates with the remotely deployed faxing system to send, receive, obtain status on, or perform other functions associated with, faxing.

Abstract: A multi-function device (MFD) is disclosed. For example, the MFD includes a communication interface to establish a communication path with a network, a user interface to display a plurality of fields associated with different settings of a configuration file of the MFD, a processor, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a plurality of instructions. The instructions when executed by the processor cause the processor to detect selection of a field associated with a setting of the configuration file, establish a connection with at least one networked MFD on the network, query the at least one networked MFD for a value used in the field associated with the setting of the configuration file that is selected, receive the value from the at least one networked MFD, and populate the field with the value.

Abstract: A first controller of an image forming apparatus executes a remote display control. The remote display control is control of, in response to receiving a start request from one of a plurality of information processing apparatuses, controlling a requesting information processing apparatus to display a remote screen. A second controller of the requesting information processing apparatus displays the remote screen in accordance with the remote display control by the first controller. A determination controller determines whether the remote display control is currently executed by a previous request.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a printing apparatus and controls, when an interrupt print job to be processed by interrupting image formation based on a print job is requested, the printing apparatus to form an image corresponding to the interrupt print job by interrupting processing based on the print job. The output information includes device information related to a print function of the printer unit and the acquired timing information in association with each other. The printer may lack an internal clock yet still output information associated with time information.
