Abstract: Blockchain-based, smart contract platforms have great promise to remove trust and add transparency to distributed applications. However, this benefit often comes at the cost of greatly reduced privacy. Techniques for implementing a privacy-preserving smart contract is described. The system can keep accounts private while not losing functionality and with only a limited performance overhead. This is achieved by building a confidential and anonymous token on top of a cryptocurrency. Multiple complex applications can also be built using the smart contract system.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to games and applications in general and in particular to computer-implemented online games, such as online role-playing games, playable by more than one person from more than one location. The game engine can dynamically determine the type of in-game asset to award to a first player and the types of in-game obstacles to present to the first player by referencing the in-game assets available to other players in the first player's social network and by referencing other game state variables.

Abstract: Systems and methods to activate the processing of an allocated resource in operations with a processing system by the use of a round trip communication of the identifier of the resource, in which the resource identifier is communicated from a portal of the processing system to a first website, which passes the resource identifier to a second website during forwarding or redirecting a web browser from the first website to the second website, where the second website provides the resource identifier back to the processing system in communications with the processing system for operations required for the activation of the resource. Upon activation, the resource is processed during a communication session between the first website and the portal (or the processing system).

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for dynamic pricing and scheduling of network data transfers are disclosed. A system a plurality of network-accessible resources and a data transfer coordinator. In response to a client request for a network transfer of a data set, the coordinator determines, based at on a network-related metric of one or more resources, at least one time window during which a portion or all of the data set is transferable for a pricing rate below a threshold. The coordinator notifies the client of the time window and provides a duration-limited token authorizing data transfer during the window. The coordinator determines whether a network transmission of data on behalf of the client is valid based at least in part on a time at which the transmission is initiated and at least in part on a use of the token.

Abstract: A method for adjusting a spam index for a blockchain advertiser based on user consensus includes: storing an advertiser profile related to an advertising entity including at least an index value and an identification value; receiving new blocks in a blockchain, each including a block header and blockchain data values, where a plurality of the data values each includes an advertiser identifier, advertisement value, and a recipient identifier; receiving a plurality of spam reports, each associated with one of the data values and including at least one of: the advertisement value included in the respective data value or a reference value generated by hashing the respective data value; determining a ratio of a number of spam reports to number of the data values that includes the advertisement value; and adjusting the index value included in the advertiser profile according to the ratio.

Abstract: A computer system is provided that communicates with a distributed blockchain computing system that includes multiple computing nodes. The exchange stores an order book and a plurality of digital wallets associated with different clients. The computer system receives new data transaction requests that are added to the order book. A match is identified between data transaction requests and hashes associated with the digital wallets associated with the respective data transaction requests are generated. The counterparties receive the hashes of the other party along with information on the match and each party causes blockchain transactions to be added to the blockchain of the blockchain computing system. The computing system then monitors the blockchain to determine if both sides of the match has been added to the blockchain.

Abstract: The present invention provides that a credit card authentication value is divided into meaningless information block 1 and information block 2, the information block 1 can be transmitted to a user authentication device that is physically insulated, and the user authentication device that encodes the information block 1 on the basis of payment PIN information received from user equipment and keeps the encoded information block 1, and decodes the encoded information block 1 on the basis of the payment PIN information and transmits the information block 1 to the credit card permission request device, when there is a request from the credit card permission request device, thereby determining whether there is forgery in payment on a web. Accordingly, security in payment can be improved.

Abstract: A point-of-sale (POS) terminal is provided for entering a PIN to enable a financial transaction. The point-of-sale terminal has a card reader for reading information from a credit card, a processor for running an operating system, with applications, a touch screen for displaying information and receiving user inputs, and a Security-Box connected between the touch screen and the processor to control the user input on the touch screen to the processor. The Security Box is configured to run in a “PIN Entry Mode” and a “Clear Text Mode.” When running in “PIN Entry Mode” the user input is not forwarded as touch coordinates to the processor and when running in “Clear Text Mode” the touch coordinates are transmitted to the processors.

Abstract: Techniques for mobile devices configured to support or function as multiple contactless cards, such as Mifare contactless cards, are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a mobile device embedded with an emulator is loaded with a plurality of software modules or applications, each emulating one card or one type of contactless cards. An emulator is implemented in a secure element that is personalized for a user of the mobile device while the applications are respectively provisioned via their respective providers per the personalized secure element. When the mobile device is to be used as a contactless card to perform a monetary function, a corresponding application is loaded into and executed in the emulator. When the mobile device is to be used to perform another monetary function, a corresponding application is loaded into the emulator to replace the previous application entirely or partially in the emulator.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods, and computer program products for authenticating the use of a wearable device to execute a transaction. The system is configured to receive an indication that a user is in possession of the wearable device; authenticate the wearable device; transmit a pointer associated with the token to a global merchant device; receive an indication from the user to execute a transaction with at least one of the one or more local merchant devices; retrieve information identifying the token; transmit a first notification associated with the transaction to the global merchant device; determine a match between the wearable device and the pointer associated with the token; determine that the user continues to remain in possession of the wearable device; and complete execution of the transaction.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods, and computer program products for authorizing and performing a user defined selected transaction based on receiving notification from a wearable device associated with the user that the wearable device sensed a predefined action. Abstract: Methods and systems for performing electronic transactions involve receiving, using a processor coupled to memory, from a mobile application on a user's mobile device processor, a transaction message consisting at least in part of the user's account information obtained by the mobile application reading user account information encoded on a token of the user that is physically distinct from the mobile device processor and a transaction request for the user. Using the processor, the user's account information is verified and a transaction confirmation message is generated and sent to the mobile application on the user's mobile device processor.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to systems and methods for facilitating co-play and download of artist specific client applications via user-provided playlists that includes songs playable only through a respective artist specific client application. A playlist may include songs from a plurality of different artist specific applications. A given artist specific application may be created and branded for a particular artist, whose music may be playable only through a corresponding artist specific application. Because a given song may only be played/accessed from a corresponding artist specific application, a playlist that includes songs from different artist specific applications may cause artist specific applications to be activated (e.g., opened, placed in the foreground, etc.) when a song included therein is next in line to be played. Artist specific applications that have already played a song in the playlist may be de-activated (e.g., closed, placed in the background, etc.).
