    Abstract: An electrical connector (100) adapted for electrically connecting with corresponding mating connectors (200) includes an insulative housing (1) defining a base portion (10), a couple of upper and lower tongue plates (11, 12) extending forwardly from the base portion (10), as well as a holding plate (13) between the tongue plates (11, 12). First and second sets of conductive terminals (31, 32) are accommodated in the tongue plates (11, 12) and a couple of upper and lower shielding members (21, 22) enclosing the tongue plates for surrounding the conductive terminals. The dimension of the holding plate (13) is greater than the dimension of the adjacent dielectric portions of the mating connectors (200) in a vertical direction. When two mating connectors are inserted to the housing for connecting with the electrical connector, they cannot intervene with each other so as to affect signal transmission.

    Abstract: A connector assembly includes a dielectric housing and a plurality of conductive terminals. The dielectric housing defines a plurality of terminal slots and terminal pores, which together contain said conductive terminals. Said terminal pores are defined on both sides of the dielectric housing. Each of the conductive terminals contains a vertical leg, and the vertical leg bends sideward and forms a bending portion, the bending portion extends upward bends to form a grasping portion. The grasping portion expands an arm and forms a contact portion at its end. The bending portions bending left and those bending right together forms a space between their vertical legs, which divides the vertical legs into two groups. The vertical legs are contained into said terminal pores and extrude beyond the bottom surface of the dielectric housing. Thus, an interspace for extra cables threading through is formed between the two groups of vertical legs.

    Abstract: A hermetically sealed package embodying the invention includes a base member having top and bottom surfaces. An electronic device having multiple electrodes is securely mounted on the top surface of the base member. The electrodes of the electronic device are made accessible to external circuits via wire connection to conducting leads disposed through pre-formed holes extending vertically from the top surface to the bottom surface of the base member. The conductive leads then extend horizontally along preformed grooves formed along the bottom surface of the base member. The holes with the leads passing though them are hermetically sealed. A portion of selected conductive leads extending above the top surface are selectively bonded to selected electrodes of the electronic device. A ceramic cap is mounted over and around the electronic device and the conductive leads and encompasses them. The cap has a bottom rim which fits into a preformed trench running along the outer periphery of the base member.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method, apparatus and means to address the problem of attempting to utilize two large power plugs with transformers, converters and/or 90 degree plugs simultaneously with one duplex power receptacle. This invention discloses a duplex power receptacle in a ground-up and ground-down configuration, such that two conventional large three prong power plugs with transformers, converters and/or 90 degree plugs can be used simultaneously. This configuration can be utilized while still maintaining many of characteristics of the conventional duplex power receptacles such as the left and right orientation of the neutral and hot conducting busses. By maintaining the characteristics of the conventional duplex power receptacle one knowledgeable in the art can install this invention without having to be retrained in a method of installation and a conventional wall outlet box and cover plate will accommodate this invention.
