  • Patent number: 5473832
Abstract: An electronic price displaying label is disclosed for use in conjunction with a rail, the rail having two lips which define an access slot and a cavity, in which the label is prevented from slidably moving in a horizontal direction along the rail. The label has a protuberance connected to the rear of the label and first and second grooves arranged on the rear of the label such that the label can be secured in a display position along the rail. The aforementioned grooves disposed on the rear of the label contain a resilient substance such as a rubber band. The protuberance of the label may be removed from and inserted into the cavity of the rail when the label is in a position perpendicular to the rail, with the protuberance securing the label to the rail when the label is in a position parallel to the rail. Upon attaching the label on the rail, the compression of the resilient substance by the lips of the rail prevents the label from slidably moving in a horizontal direction along the rail.

  • Patent number: 5433886
Abstract: Polyether polyamino methylene phosphonates, which possess high calcium tolerance and have been found to give excellent inhibition of the formation, deposition and adherence of scale-forming salts, especially calcium carbonate, in aqueous systems involving severe conditions which include elevated pH, high dissolved solids content, and high saturation levels of calcium carbonate, are degraded by the oxidizing biocides bromine and chlorine used to control microbial growth in such aqueous systems. It has been found that organic sulfonamides provide excellent protection against such degradation when they are added to the aqueous system along with the polyether polyamino methylene phosphonate scale inhibitors.

  • Patent number: 5400532
Abstract: A desk-top picture gallery adapted selectively to display any picture in a deck of photo prints all of the same size. The gallery is constituted by a frame-pocket assembly supported on a detachable easel. The box-like pocket which accommodates the deck of prints is secured to the rear of the frame behind its opening, the pocket having a front window which exposes to view whichever print then occupies the first position in the deck. The easel is provided with a step on which the pocket rests, the step having a ridge thereon which is socketed either within a complementary slot in the closed end of the pocket, in which case the assembly is then vertically oriented, or within a complementary slot in either of the two sides of the pocket, in which case the assembly is then horizontally oriented. To interchange the picture on display with another selected from the deck, the selected print is transferred to occupy the first position in the deck.
