Patent number: 7385644Abstract: The present invention concerns a monitoring camera for picking up the image of an environment inside or outside a building. A ceiling part (13) is provided in one end side in the longitudinal direction of a rectangular main body part (11). On the other end side, a bottom surface part (14) is provided. Since an image pickup part (12) is provided in the front part of the main body part (11) held between the ceiling part (13) and the bottom surface part (14), the monitoring camera can be disposed along an outer wall (2). The monitoring camera (10) has a power supply part (37) contained in the ceiling part (13) and a control circuit part (29) contained in the main body part (11) provided in the lower part of the power supply part (37). Thus, the control circuit part (29) can be protected from the heat generation of the power supply part (37).Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2004Date of Patent: June 10, 2008Assignee: Sony CorporationInventor: Shigeru Tamura

Patent number: 7373289Abstract: Method and system for determining electrical isomorphism between two electrical networks are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes representing the circuit as a hierarchically-arranged set of branches. The hierarchically-arranged set of branches including a first branch that includes a first electrical network and a second branch that includes a second electrical network, where the first and second branches are interconnected in the graph through a third branch at a higher hierarchical level in the graph than the first and second branches. Next, the method determines whether the first and second electrical networks are electrically isomorphic networks. If the first and second electrical networks are determined to be electrically isomorphic networks, the first and second electrical networks are represented with a single electrically isomorphic network. The method further includes simulating the first and second electrical networks using the single electrically isomorphic network.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2004Date of Patent: May 13, 2008Assignee: Cadence Design Systems, IncInventors: Bruce W. Patent number: 7372504Abstract: One of first and second picture-taking operating devices is placed in a rear surface of a camera body, while the other of the picture-taking operating devices is placed in a front surface of the camera body. An operator can selectively use the two picture-taking operating devices and can therefore be prevented from erroneously operating the operating devices. Each of the picture-taking operating devices is provided so that its operating direction is parallel to the optical axis of a picture-taking lens. Therefore, camera shake due to an operating force can be reduced. When the first picture-taking operating device is operated, picture data on a subject is recorded on a first recording medium. When the second picture-taking operating device is operated, picture data on the same subject is recorded on a second recording medium. The two picture-taking operating devices are selectively used to distribute picture data to the corresponding recording mediums.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2004Date of Patent: May 13, 2008Assignee: FUJIFILM CorporationInventor: Yuichi Fujimura

Patent number: 7366644Abstract: An irradiated state diagram that expresses a relation of a degree of long range order S to a variable R of an irradiated state related to a damage rate and an irradiation temperature is prepared according to an ordered structure of an alloy on basis of an evaluation formula related to an effect of irradiation on an irradiated state of the alloy by using, as parameters, a first threshold value Sth1 at which the degree of long range order begins to decrease greatly under irradiation, a second threshold value Sth2 at which the degree of long range order substantially reaches equilibrium after this decrease, and a degree of long range order in an equilibrium state Seq. An R-value is calculated and an S-value corresponding to the R-value is found. An Sth1-value, an Sth2-value and an Seq-value at the R-value are found and compared.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 2004Date of Patent: April 29, 2008Assignee: Japan Nuclear Cycle Development InstituteInventor: Taiji Hoshiya

Patent number: 7358997Abstract: An image sensor has two or three rows of imaging elements, all the imaging elements being of the same size. This provides the rows with a native resolution. The image sensor is also provided with three shift registers. First and second shift register elements receive information from respective corresponding imaging element in a first and second row of imagining elements while shift register elements of the third shift register receive information from four imaging elements. The four imaging elements form a super-pixel, allowing the sensor to output information in a low resolution mode, as well a native and a high resolution mode.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2004Date of Patent: April 15, 2008Assignee: Lexmark International, Inc.Inventors: Aditya J. Patent number: 7353146Abstract: Methods and systems for performing block processing of input data in graphical programming environments are disclosed. The input data that is to be processed is partitioned into a plurality of blocks. Each block of the input data is applied to the data processing unit for processing each block of the input data. The blocks of the processed data are combined to generate output data. If the size of the output data is smaller than or equals to the size of the input data, the present invention may perform in-place block processing of the input data in which the output data is overwritten on the input data. In the in-place processing of the input data, the output data may share memory space with the input data so that the block processing saves memory space in processing the input data.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2003Date of Patent: April 1, 2008Assignee: The MathWorks, Inc.Inventors: Houman Zarrinkoub, Donald P.
