  • Patent number: 11461806
Abstract: Methods and systems for dynamically providing content complementary to a content being rendered on mobile devices based on determining a context of the device based on identifying an encoded unique audio identifier. The transmission and playback of the complementary content is synchronized with the currently rendered content by dynamically taking into account the context of a user operating the mobile device. The context of a user may be built from considering a piece of currently rendered content, characteristics of a profile of a vendor, characteristics of the individual user and/or the user's individual profile, date, time of day and/or further additional information. The context may further take into account the current position and/or location of the user as acoustically triangulated based on sending and/or receiving unique audio identifiers as a high frequency audio signal.

  • Patent number: 11455662
Abstract: An online system provides a feed of content including organic content items and sponsored content items that are positioned relative to each other to maximize user interaction with the feed of content. To reduce latency of providing the feed of content to a user without impairing positioning of organic content items and sponsored content items relative to each other, the online system generates the feed of content including organic content items and sends the feed of content to a client device while selecting sponsored content items for the feed of content. The online system transmits selected sponsored content items to the client device, which modifies the feed of content to include the sponsored content items and presents the modified feed of content.

  • Patent number: 11403718
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can generate individual feature data for each user of a plurality of users. A first cohort comprising a first plurality of users is generated, wherein the first plurality of users are selected from the plurality of users based on the individual feature data. A first set of cohort feature data associated with the first cohort is generated based on individual feature data for the first plurality of users. The first set of cohort feature data and a first set of cohort membership information are transmitted to a modeler. The first set of cohort membership information identifies each user of the plurality of users.

  • Patent number: 11392924
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing an in-person transaction process are provided. In example embodiments, a network system receives, from a first user device, information regarding a service or an item. Using the received information, the network system generates an unpublished listing and associates the unpublished listing with a session identifier. The unpublished listing is temporarily stored to a datastore. The network system then generates a scannable code that provides a uniform resource identifier (URI) associated with the session identifier. The scannable code is presented on the first user device, whereby the scannable code can be scanned by a second user device to access, via the URI, a transaction user interface associated with the session identifier. In response to a request to access the transaction user interface triggered by the second user device scanning the scannable code, the transaction user interface is displayed on the second user device.

  • Patent number: 11379870
Abstract: A graphical interface provides flexible configuration of campaigns with real-time visualization and click and drag operation. A user may filter input data describing their customer base and select analytical components upon which the campaign should analyze customers in order to produce a normalized line representing the potential campaign audience. The user may add breakpoints to the chart view in order to define reward segments, and associate offers with each reward segment. Creation of reward segments and assignment of offers may be performed with simple click operations, click and drag operations, or other interactions with the graphical interface. Reward segments may be vertical, horizontal, curve-based, or may be other shapes or arbitrarily drawn regions. A campaign defined by the GUI may be output by the system as a campaign dataset in various formats, with each format being usable to execute the associated campaign by identifying qualifying recipients and delivering corresponding offers.

  • Patent number: 11343587
Abstract: In one embodiment, a viewing behavior subsystem computes estimated viewership among target audiences at a person-level based on a household viewing logs and person-level data. A viewing behavior subsystem distributes the household viewing logs across buckets based on the sizes of the households and sets of person-level characteristics that are associated with the persons within the households. The viewing behavior subsystem generates a model for viewing behaviors associated with different sets of person-level characteristics based on the buckets. Subsequently, the viewing behavior subsystem estimates viewership among a target audience that is associated with one or more of the sets of person-level characteristics based on the model and census data.

  • Patent number: 11334684
Abstract: At least one aspect is directed to determining an estimate of an intersection of user identifiers in a first set of user identifiers and a second set of user identifiers. The first and second sets of user identifiers can be populated with user identifiers that have interacted with the same content item or content item campaign. Estimates of intersections of the first and the second sets can be determined based on a binomial vector approach, a vector of counts approach, or a hybrid approach. The binomial vector approach generates vectors based on k hashes of each user identifier in the first set and summing the vectors to generate a first vector. The intersection can be determined based on a dot product of the first vector and a second vector similarly generated from the second set of user identifiers.

  • Patent number: 11334908
Abstract: A device extracts a plurality of characteristics from a sample set. For each extracted characteristic, the device determines different types of advertisements carried in advertisement samples in the sample set matching the characteristic. The device determines characteristic values of the characteristic that correspond to the different types of advertisements. The device filters based on characteristic values of the characteristic that correspond to the different types of advertisements, the extracted plurality of characteristics to obtain respective advertisement characteristics of the different types of advertisements. The device matches the advertisement characteristics of the different types of advertisements against characteristics extracted from a to-be-detected sample, and determines whether the to-be-detected sample carries an advertisement, and if so, which type of advertisement.

Abstract: Techniques for conducting transactions with one-time passwords are described herein. These techniques may include receiving a request to conduct a transaction, as well as a one-time password and an identifier linked with a payment instrument. The identifier may or may not identify the linked payment instrument. In both instances, a transaction processing service may compare the received one-time password with a one-time password stored at or accessible by the transaction processing service. If the passwords match, the service may approve the transaction. Otherwise, the service may decline the transaction or implement one or more additional authorization procedures.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for achieving high-volumes of low-latency price plus discount transactions that are dynamically created through transaction optimization. Aspects may include combining and optimizing different types of discounts into a single discount and dynamically controlling the single discount through a single user-facing transaction. A computer model may determine one or more transactions and sets of discounts applicable to those transactions upon which the user-facing transaction and single discount are based. Associations between discounts and items may be determined for at least some different types of discounts to apply a set of discounts including at least two different discounts of different discount types to a desired transaction for one or more items. Aspects may include determining a discount transaction comprising a plurality of constituent transactions that form a single user-facing transaction.
