  • Patent number: 11959579
Abstract: A system and method for a process to prepare piping such that it has a reduced chance of having biological organisms developing or growing within it by the addition of a metal structure to at least a portion of the inner wall of the piping. The system utilizes a limited amount of metal on or close to the inside wall of the piping to retard or suppress the growth of biological organisms within the piping. The limited amount of metal inside the pipe does not materially interfere with the structural aspects or performance of the pipe, nor does it significantly increasing the material costs of the pipe, while providing a unique and novel improved anti-biologic organism performance. The system is suitable for residential or commercial use.

  • Patent number: 11946583
Abstract: A flexible, substantially lamellar silicone foam rubber-based heater for heating fluid lines such as high temperature gas supply and exhaust lines used in microelectronic semiconductor fabrication uses a flexible, oblong substantially longitudinally uniform heater body including an oblong block of a thermally conductive, resiliently compressible material for conforming the heater to a line of complexly shaped components connected in series. The block can be supported by a silicone rubber support layer in contact with a flexible heater element containing layer, and an outer silicone foam rubber insulation layer. Fasteners, such as separatable retaining bands spaced along the line can hold the heater in place. A matable pair of bodies, or a single folded body can enwrap the line.

  • Patent number: 11940084
Abstract: A monolithic metal thermal insulating sleeve liner for fluid flow devices such as valves and piping used in severe industrial applications is additively manufactured (e.g., by 3D printing) to fit the bore of a protected fluid flow device. Tessellated support structures obliquely extending between inside surfaces of inner and outer shells provide increased resistance to thermal conduction while also providing increased strength against compression forces. Example support structures include an array of four obliquely oriented elongated members mutually intersecting mid-way between the inside surfaces of inner and outer cylindrical shells. If internal interstices are sealed they can be vacuumed or pressurized to enhance thermal insulating properties. A pressure equalizing aperture can be provided on or through the sleeve if needed in some applications.

  • Patent number: 11873938
Abstract: A pipeline pigging element (10) that changes its size in an axial and a radial direction as a function of applied pipeline pressure. The pigging element includes at least two circumferential zones (13, 15) having different section modulus than one another, each of the zones changing at different rates from one another between an uninflated and an inflated state at the applied pipeline pressure. The pigging element reacts to changes in pipe geometry, having a first length and a first diameter at a first applied pipeline pressure and a second length and a second diameter different than the first at a second applied pipeline pressure. As the pigging element wears, it becomes easier to inflate at the applied pressure and sealing contact with the pipe wall remains substantially unaffected. No onboard pumps or fluid circuits are required to inflate the pigging element.
