The lift system also includes a storage unit defined by a lift gate configured within an interior of the storage unit. The lift gate includes a linear actuator for converting the support between a folded and an unfolded position by manipulating the pivoting plate coupled to the linear actuator. A controller is provided for controlling the lift gate.

A strap or straps may be attached to the mattress, and the mattress may be folded in half and buckled in order for it to be transported. An additional strap and buckle may be located in the center of the cover to add additional support if necessary. The cover further may contain eight handles that may be used to pick up and transport the mattress.
