Patent number: 10586319Abstract: Systems and methods can be used for analyzing image data to determine an amount of vibration and/or misalignment in an object under analysis. In some instances, as operating equipment heats up during operation, temperature changes of various portions of the operating equipment leads to changes in dimensions of such portions, leading to misalignment. Multiple sets of data representative of the operating equipment in multiple operating conditions can be used to determine an amount of misalignment due to thermal offsets. Hot and cold temperatures of the equipment can be used to calculate thermal growth of various portions of the equipment, which can be used to determine an amount a misalignment due to thermal offsets. Additionally or alternatively, image data representing the equipment can be used to observe changes in alignment between states.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2016Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: Fluke CorporationInventors: Michael D. Patent number: 10574884Abstract: An image pickup apparatus, image processing apparatus and corresponding program and method are disclosed. In one example, a second captured image acquired from another apparatus is aligned with a first captured image. Image stabilization is carried out in response to a positional relation between the captured images. For example, when overlapping between the captured images is equal to or smaller than an image stabilization limitation threshold value, the image stabilization is stopped or a correction range is limited for at least one of the captured images. When the amount of overlapping is larger than the image stabilization limitation threshold value, the image stabilization for both of the captured images is carried out without limitation. The captured images are aligned with each other by using the captured image with limited image stabilization, or both captured images where stabilization is carried out without limitation, thereby producing a panoramic image.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2016Date of Patent: February 25, 2020Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Kazuhiro Shimauchi, Daisuke Tahara, Nobuho Ikeda, Atsushi Kimura

Patent number: 10571266Abstract: A user may be aided in modifying a product that is an assemblage of parts. This aid may involve a processor obtaining images of a target part captured by the user on a mobile device camera. The processor may compare, based on the captured images and a plurality of images of identified parts, the target part to the identified parts. Based on the comparison, the processor may determine an identity of the target part. This aid may also involve a processor obtaining images of a first configuration of a partial assembly of the product captured by a mobile device camera.
