Abstract: The carbon dioxide membrane separation system in a coal gasification process contains introduction of a mixed gas of hydrogen (H2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) in a high temperature and high pressure condition generated through water gas shift reaction from a water gas shift reaction furnace, while maintaining the temperature and pressure condition, to a zeolite membrane module containing a zeolite membrane for removing carbon dioxide, thereby removing carbon dioxide and generating a fuel gas rich in hydrogen. The fuel gas rich in hydrogen in a high temperature and high pressure condition discharged from the zeolite membrane module is fed to a gas turbine of the power generation facility while maintaining the temperature and pressure condition.

  • Patent number: 9854949
Abstract: A toilet. The toilet comprises an upper bowl defining a first fecal aperture, a lower bowl defining a second fecal aperture, a urine receptacle and a feces receptacle. The upper bowl defines a urine aperture. A raised barrier extends upwardly around a periphery of the second fecal aperture. When a diverter panel is closed urine flows from the upper bowl through the urine aperture into the urine receptacle or urine flows through the first fecal aperture, strikes an upper surface of the diverter panel, and through an opening between a lower surface of the upper bowl and the upper surface of the diverter panel into the urine receptacle. In a third path when the diverter panel is opened urine flows through the urine aperture into the urine receptacle, the raised barrier prevents urine flow into the feces receptacle through the second fecal aperture.

  • Patent number: 9845608
Abstract: A valve 10, for relieving ground water pressure on a swimming pool for containing pool water. A body 30 defines a flow path. An element 20 is mounted to be moved in a direction from a position, in which at least one feature 22 of the element co-operates with at least one feature 33 of the body to form a sealing arrangement to block the flow path to retain the pool water, to a position in which the flow path is open to allow ground water into the swimming pool. The sealing arrangement defines an effective area over which the ground water pressure acts to drive the element in the direction, and an effective area over which pool water pressure acts to drive the element opposite the direction. The co-operable features are configured such that a ratio, of the effective area over which the ground water pressure acts to the effective area over which pool water pressure acts, has a value of at least 0.9.

  • Patent number: 9829150
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically filling water in an above-ground pool. The apparatus includes an open-sided enclosure, an inlet pipe, an intermediate pipe, a water-level control valve, and pool mounting mechanism. The open-sided enclosure houses and supports the constituents of the apparatus. The inlet pipe connects to an external water supply and traverses normal and into a top wall of the open-sided enclosure. The intermediate pipe is telescopically engaged into the inlet pipe and fixed to the water-level control valve. This puts the inlet pipe and the water-level control valve in fluid communication. The pool mounting mechanism is mechanically integrated into the open-sided enclosure and attaches the apparatus to a frame of the pool. The water-level control valve manages water being pumped into the pool in order to maintain a constant water level. An actuatable lifter is used to raise or lower the water-level control valve within the open-sided enclosure.

  • Patent number: 9775472
Abstract: A one piece shower drain pan, encapsulated in a water proof membrane, and the method of fabricating the one piece open drain shower pan, the method which includes providing extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam of the type which absorbs very little water; shaping the section of extruded polystyrene foam with a CNC router to obtain the desired slope in the floor; cutting a hole in the foam to produce the drain hole; cutting a curb from the XPS foam and gluing the foam to a pan base on the open sides. Splash walls are then cut from concrete wall board and glued to the sides having no curb, so that the glue serves as a bonding agent and provides a waterproof seal between the parts; after the glue has cured, spraying the entire pan assembly with a polyurethane or polyurea coating to completely encapsulate the entire pan with a waterproof membrane, which provides strength and rigidity and defines a one piece drain pan ready for installation.
